My Final LSU 2013 Baseball Stats Thread of 2013

This was a tough end to an incredible season but I finally got over the loss long enough to compile a list of stats for you guys to admire.
Mason Katz - What can you say about a kid that came in as the 6th best player in the state and barely made the roster? He wasn't highly recruited but CPM wanted this kid on the team as a possible OF. He will go down as another LSU legend.
Freshman - 14-44, .318 BA, 11 R, 5 RBI, 2 2B (Started 8 games)
Sophomore - 64-190, .337 BA, 40 R, 4 HR, 53 RBI, 21 2B, 2 3B, 6 SB (Started 50 Games)
Junior - 77-241, .320 BA, 65 R, 13 HR, 52 RBI, 15 2B, 8 SB (Started 64 Games)
Senior - 90-243, .370 BA, 53 R, 16 HR, 70 RBI, 14 2B, 2 3B, 5 SB (Started ALL 68 Games)
Career - 245-718, .341 BA, 169 R, 33 HR, 180 RBI, 42 2B, 5 3B, 19 SB (Started 190 Games in 4 years)
Raph Rhymes - No one will ever be able to take away what Raph did to the baseball in 2012. He was ridiculous and in 2013, he struggled but still ended up hitting 3rd best on the team. For a three year starter, he taught us how hitting the baseball was as easy as making contact. You don't have to hit 45 HR to be a star.
Sophomore - 77-214, .360 BA, 43 R, 3 HR, 42 RBI, 18 2B, 8 SB (Started 56 Games)
Junior - 100-232, .431 BA, 44 R, 4 HR, 53 RBI, 11 2B, 2 SB (Started 61 Games)
Senior - 84-254, .331 BA, 53 R, 4 HR, 46 RBI, 15 2B, 3 SB (Started ALL 68 Games)
Career - 261-700, .373 BA, 130 R, 11 HR, 141 RBI, 44 2B, 13 SB (Started 185 Games)
Chris Cotton - Someone said he should be cut. Someone said this guy is trash. I even remember someone saying this kid will end up being terrible. Kevin Berry was going to be the next big thing, not him. Well, Chris Cotton said, "I got this."
Freshman - 22 IP, 5.32 ERA, 2-0, SV, 25 H, 13 ER, 12 K, 4 BB (18 APP)
Sophomore - 13.1 IP, 3.38 ERA, 11 H, 5 ER, 14 K, 2 BB (13 APP)
Junior - 45.1 IP, 1.59 ERA, 7-0, SV, 30 H, 8 ER, 40 K, 7 BB (36 APP)
Senior - 46.2 IP, 1.16 ERA, 4-1, 16 SV, 25 H, 6 ER, 47 K, 3 BB (37 APP)
Career - 13-1, 2.27 ERA, 18 SV, 91 H, 113 K, 16 BB (104 APP)
That is all I got tonight folks. I have to run but will try and add more stats to this thread tomorrow.

I knew Cotton's K-BB ratio was sick but I had no idea it was that dominant.
Posted on 6/21/13 at 8:44 pm to tadelatt
Cotton K-BB Ratio = 7.06 (Sick for a reliever with that many APP)

This kid is fun to watch play. I know you guys didn't make it as far as you wanted this year. However, congrats on a good season.

I think Dunn had a lot to do with Cotton and his success. The work Dunn has done with our pitching is nothing short of spectacular. He is the best pitching coach in the country IMO.
I'm still in shock of what happen to us in CWS.

Not to be cynical, but it's only a matter of time before Dunn is gone. He should get a legit HC offer sometime soon. We have to savor the amount of time we have with him. He's so vital to our team it cannot be stated enough. Most important non-HC baseball coach since Turtle.

Does he want to be a HC? No doubt, I'm surprised he hasn't gotten offers yet.

I would imagine he would jump at it if the money is right. I know we have one of if not the highest assistant coaches salaries in the nation, but a legit D1 school will be able to throw him some big time bucks. I was surprised Bama didn't do it last year when Gaspard shite the bed.
