I always hear stories of Americans being rude or ignorant. I did not experience any of that down here in Baton Rouge. From tailgating at the stadium down to New Orleans everyone we met and talked to treated us like we were family. The southern hospitality was unbelievable. I want to thank everyone for making us feel welcome.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time down here in Louisiana. The tailgating was an unbelievable experience and the food was delicious. The first time I had Jambalaya and Gumbo, I am going to find a receipe and make some for the folks back home
We watched the team and bands come down the hill. I love the traditions that come with LSU games. The bands pre-game and half time show were great and it makes the game more enjoyable.

For the game we sat in the Tiger Terrace right at the 50 yard line. Great seats! We tried to learn Alma Mater before the game but we didn't learn quick enough, good thing they had the lyrics on the video board

I will for sure be coming down to LSU for another game and hope to make it a yearly tradition.

Thanks again for all the tips and tricks, food, booze and hospitality you guys helped make the trip of a lifetime!

I'm glad you had a good time. Yeah, the tailgating is second to none. I would walk from the house to the tailgate and already be buzzed and full because people would offer me food and drink.

Cajun Cuisine is seriously the best in the country. Everything else taste so... plain.

Happy you enjoyed your time here. As a native to South Louisiana there's still no place I'd rather be than Death Valley

Also, cajuns have pride issues with their food. If you walk around with a little bit of whatever you had last, most tents will offer you their food and ask "Now who's taste better"

So glad to hear back from you! I'm glad you enjoyed your time here. We know how special this place is, but it's nice to see that appreciation from someone else, too.

What would you say was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like best about the stadium/pregame experience?

Have a safe trip home and come back soon!

I did enjoy the French Quarter in New Orleans and we also did a really fun swamp tour in Laffite.
The highlight of the game for me was watching the team and band come down the hill and then out of the tunnel for the game with the marching band playing and everything was really cool!

Some of us are better at eating than we are at cooking, so check this out:

WalMart

Amazon

The sausage you use can really affect the taste of these products.

Happy Eating!

Some Americans are rude and/or ignorant. You can decrease your chances of running into the by staying away from the blue states. Smaller southern towns are always a great visit.
