My biggest fear...how this affects recruiting.

I know it's stating the obvious, but we have to hope like hell we are able to hold on to our verbals, in particular, Russell Shepard. If he were to reconsider, then real depression would set in.

It will be very interesting to see how many of the verbals stay with us. I have copied the ones posted to see what the results will be.

I will tell you this my best friend is a coach at Destrehan one of the high school powerhouses in the State and the conversation about his kids going to LSU are not good...there best D Linemen just verbally commited to Alabama..and Jefferson wasnt even recruited by LSU till he went to a camp with Tim Molton a reciever from Destrehan that LSU signed.. and also one of the best guys on Arkansas D the tru freshman Jherico Nelson..yep from Destrehan.. Miles loses tons of in state prospects becuase of coaching or lack there of

I never count chickens until they're hatched; that is I don't claim "so-and-so is ours" until they've signed. That's just the way it is in 21st Century college ball, and the same applies for just about every school.

they'll keep the '09 class together because it is late in the game. '10 will be slow, IMO, with a lot of guys taking a wait and see approach and how the team/coaches respond to a down year.
