As a person CLM is a great ambassador for our city and state. We are very fortunate to have someone in such a high profile position that consistently puts his name out there in favor of our city and state. I'd like to see him in some facet at LSU if he's fired.

With that, the game he's used to playing is currently not the same game being played. Spurrier had a comment on one of the sports shows after the LSU game. It was along the lines of last season he finally realized that while he was innovative in the 90s that the game had passed him by and his system was no longer effective and that he sees the same thing with CLM.

While we are all giving CLM shite about not changing his system, as a coach on the high school level I do understand his thought process. As a head coach you'll put together a system that works for your players as you progress through the levels and while you'll have pitfalls along the way you will ultimately find that system you feel that puts the best product on the field.

As a coach once you start having success in that system it's very hard for you to detract from it. CLM has had great success with his current system until the last few seasons. Until Tuesdays press conference I had not seen him show any real recognition of his current flaws. It is a shame because if he'd have had this realization last year when he was close to being fired we might very well see a new revamped offense that is tailored to his QB strengths, not his weaknesses. Instead you'll see more of the same as long as BH starts because he doesn't have the mentality needed to run CLM style of offense and make passes when he's called upon. Even if he changes to Etling you'll still see the same offense because it's impossible to completely change a scheme during the season, which is why if you see a coordinator change mid season they normally maintain the current scheme until the off season.

My point in all this is that while CLM is a great person, he's not paid because of his off the field accolades. He's paid to recognize deficiencies in his players and himself and to train and adjust to those weaknesses. I really feel the light has finally come on for him that his system isn't effective. It's a shame that he didn't realize this and truly make the changes in the off season he said he did and I wish him the best of luck going forward, but if your believe you'll see a drastic change in the offense during the season your going to be greatly disappointed.

Once a tigers fan always a tigers fan. Let's support our players and just let the rest play out as it will.

Well I think most of us who have played or coached can see that. You practice one thing all year you can't change it. Miles has no imagination an from an Xs and Os standpoint neither does Cam. They don't know how to teach anything else. He wouldn't bring someone else in, so we have this mess. They still could tweak what they are doing to help Brandon but he won't. Of course his line needs to block someone also.

sometimes all it takes for a horse to win the race is to change the jockey-

You will never know what your horse can do if you do not try a change

CLM is unwilling to change, he will not will any more races. Sad but True.

The fairy tale has come to an end. Let's hope, King, Aleva and the board can all close this book.

I would rather keep my 2 cents. CLM is not worth that at the moment. He is the HC....and needs to win. If we want simply a nice guy, he can transfer to the PR dept.

If Miles would have fired Cam in November and brought in a young, innovative OC we'd be National Champions in January. It was his fatal mistake. Two old dudes lost in today's college football world. It's sad.

Sorry Pineville, but nope, the problems are much deeper than the OC, do you know how many OC's CLM has had since he has been here?

I agree that he also would have needed to relinquish all control of the offense to a young, innovative OC. Saban did that, and the rest is history.

Does "a great person and ambassador for the University" outright lie to everyone associated with the University continuously?

Its the Dinardo Syndrome. Remember after Dinardo was fired a reporter asked him why he didn't hire Rich Rodriguez as OC. Dinardo replied, because I would have to learn a new system, then after RR left for a head coaching job, what would I do?

These guys would rather muddle along in mediocrity or be fired rather than learn a new system.

More luck than success. Too many games to count that came down to the wire. Many were won at the last second ( Tenn 13 defenders) and some were lost (Ole miss "clock it"). Which reminds me, after all these years, that bozo still can't manage a clock and get plays called on time despite him saying on multiple occasions that he was going to fix it.

Analyzing that list, Jimbo was going to leave for a HC job and did with the HC in waiting OC at FSU. Kragthorpe became sick before the first snap and Stud was a last minute substitute - a two year loss.

In reality, only Crowton and Cam have been here long enough to evaluate. With both, you had good starts followed by poor finishes (so far). Cam and Harris can still turn it around because they still have the opportunity, but it looks like this will end up like Crowton's situation.

Most of this I will agree with.
I don't think he is a great ambassador for us because he comes off as Dufus Magee or Elmer Fudd. Take your pick. Not one complete sentence is spoken. Its like we all like to laugh at our idiot uncle.

Etling isn't exactly a Ace in the pocket, but I'd definitely play him a majority of the game against Jacksonville St to see how he looks and he can't be worse then BH.

1) How many thousand do you spend on tickets and TAF fees each and every year? (out of actual personal monies)

2) How many hours do you spend traveling to and parking, and traveling back for each game?

Ride out my arse. Dump that fricker now.

So many topics are so similar so I might as well just repost what I say in all the other ones....

I think it's more of a product of coaches and administrators living inside of a bubble. He has insulated himself with people who agree with him and his philosophies and he doesn't have the self awareness to either hire someone to oppose him when needed or to realize that maybe he is the problem and not the solution to other peoples problems.

It's sad because there are some awesome coaches on this staff with two very large gaping holes at special teams and OC, both of which are his really good friends. He wanted yes men, he got yes men and in the meantime he is wasting the talents of some really great kids on the team and coaches on the staff.

There is really no justification for that idea whatsoever. It may have bought him more time with the fan base, but at some point the 4 star QBs and higher end OCs aren't the problem, the head coach is.

Miles likes to meddle. The more pressure he has on him, the more he meddles. He hasn't let an offensive coordinator run his scheme in a long, long time.

Actually he could be much worse than BH and he was worse the last time we saw them (Spring Game). Watch the film on BH from the Wisconsin game. He wasn't the biggest problem with the offense by any imagination.
