Sorry if this belongs somewhere else.
This is my first trip to Moo St. I just never got around to it in college, so now I am going. I do have a few questions.
Do and don'ts on campus and in town? Any particular laws or rules there? (Think UGA and the jaywalking)

Any must see/dos?

Last, How loud are those fricking bells? I've got a feeling it'll just leave a ringing in my ear that I want to avoid. Ear plugs?

TIA

to set yourself apart as an LSU fan, don't wear overalls and try to sport a full set of teeth and chromosomes.

I've been there 3 times. There's literally nothing special to see out there. If you're with a group of guys, find a good spot, and just enjoy the day. I recommend tailgate by the basketball arena. That was a good spot for LSU fans back in 2007 (last time I was there).

That's been my plan for years, but it is one of my last places to cross of the list in the SEC tour. I just need to get it done.

I keep telling people that I've been wanting to go to Starkville for a road trip. Their responses are priceless.

The cowbells aren't an intimidation factor at all. It's flat-out ridiculous. It's not even loud in that stadium. It might be different this year since they expanded one of the endzones since the last time I went to Starkville, but the sound of the cowbells is more of a background noise that fades away as the game goes on from how bad Moo State performs.

One of the few things about Starkville that I do enjoy, however, is seeing how passionate their fan base is about their cowbells and how they ring it in your face as you walk by. I laugh every time.

Don't bathe or brush your teeth for the next 4 days and you may fit it.

Ideally you want a 2-3 week film on your choppers. You can probably chew on some coffee grounds to help supplement.

Also, introduce your wife or girlfriend as your cousin.

Miss St. has some of the coolest down to earth fans in the SEC. Not your pretty bitch boys that go to Ole Miss. Not too much to do but it's still a fun trip and their campus is really nice.

eta: if you like Cheese, they make some really good stuff on campus

Get in town a couple hours before the game and leave town after. It's one of those trips.

Just find any farm outside of town. You could get the same view, slay the same heifers and negate the gas/hotel expense.

Get ready to be called corn dog. I think they are probably the one school that embraces this name the most. Little five year olds. It's a great time. And annoying cowbells.

For fricks sake, this is the only positive Starkville comment in the thread. If that doesn't scare you I don't know what will.

Last time I went I took my 2 sons & the fans sitting right behind us intentionally rang their damn bells right behind our heads & rang them all game long. Moved once & same shite happened with other fans. Once they see it bothers you, they won't stop. And not waste time looking for help from a marshal. They just laff. Went that one time, never again.
