Do u think Mullen just gave everyone the blueprint to Canada's offense? I mean wow he really shut Canada's down and made it look simple with all the presnap shifts and motions having little to no effect at least not in a good way. We already knew our line and other players were lacking but thought the Canada offense would cover some of their weaknesses and move the ball much better and score.

No. If we executed then the result would not be the same. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to shite down a V8 offense with 5 spark plugs missing.

I would love to hear from Canada right now. Be nice to know how he handles adversity and high expectations.

It's just that we knew the line was a weekness before this game but damn didn't think they would be this bad.

No. LSU played the sloppiest game that I can remember going back to Curly and Dinardo.

How may of our drives were killed by stupid penalties, how many dropped balls. The defense killed themselves with penalties as well.

Lastly, maybe Miss St is just that good this year and will challenge Bama for the west.

Im not going doom and gloom over 1 loss early in the season. LSU always gets a loss somewhere and Im gonna wait until after Auburn to declare Canada and O underachievers.

I think Canada called an ok game. We ALMOST capitalized on their adjustments; did in one case. 1 deep TD erased, 1 likely deep TD dropped, 1 jet sweep TD erased. Numerous easy 3rd downs turned into nightmares, and then still find an open receiver only to have him drop it.

When running the ball between tackles became tough, we started passing and running outside the tackles. When they stopped the jet sweep with a safety, we went deep. They just kept screwing the pooch.

I think Aranda has more questions to answer than Canada. Mullen had a "system" that picked at our D. Why didn't Aranda, at a minimum, bust their reads and try to confuse them with different looks. Why so conservative when they were marching time and time again, AND could pull off the occasional big play.

The only blueprint that was confirmed is that LSU is young and easy to confuse.

BS!! Grantham was so good at shutting us down last year when he was a Louisiville???????

Face it MSU wanted it more and kicked our arse plain and simple.

Yeah, the scary part is that I can't completely blame it on the game plan. Easy passes were dropped (one that would have likely been a TD), multiple TDs called back (though one was total BS and we scored eventually after the other) and the O-line just got manhandled on passing downs. Our two main backs averaged over 5 ypc, so that part was ok. But Canada could have used some screens to Guice or Williams, used roll outs to slow the rush, etc., and he didn't. I also don't understand why Gage would get two sweeps, but not Chark (who has the speed).

Canada may correct everything but I couldn't really understand the excitement about him at Pitt just because they beat Clemson. They were still only a middle of pack team.

This I don't get either. It's obvious he sucks at running. I think it's more vision than speed, maybe inexperience. But you're not going to decide to cut up field and to execute that cut stop completely behind the line of scrimmage. Which he has done several times.

After last night Gage needs to be benched. He runs good routes, but (obviously) lacks fundamentals, is lost when the play breaks down and isn't a good blocker.

I was saying he was coming along nicely, except for the sweeps. I was wrong. He's not close.
