Doesn't seem to be helping us anyway and we seem to emerge beat up and struggle with Arky. Granted Ole Miss was played before Bama this year, but they are headed for weaker days so play them and then Bama, then take a week and heal up for home stretch.

Or keep it before Bama b/c we all know what the definition of insanity is..

I like the idea too, because if we lose it gives us time to regroup. I'd be shocked if O has the guys ready to go in Fayetteville this Saturday

I agree.

We need a lot more than a damn off week to be able to beat them. It's a waste to have it there.

In this case I also feel like it kills any momentum that the team may have going into that game. Not to mention it gives Bama two weeks to prepare which is just asking for a loss.

Way too late in the year, but your only control over the bye week is the SEC schedule. After you get your schedule from the conference you have 5 weeks to fit 4 non-conf's and a bye week. (Although there are the periodic seasons where you get 2 bye's).

We don't schedule our bye week, essentially.

As long as the LSU/Alabama game is as built up as it is, we'll have to continue taking our bye week before them every year.
