Their are some great names thrown out on this list here mine

Basketball:
Darnell Lazare: Stepped up and played a crucial big man role for a few seasons where we were very short handed at that position

Andre Stringer: It's a shame he never got a chance to play in the tournament in his 4 years here but his hustle and energy was outmatched. Since we were so shorthanded Stringer had to play a big role far too many times when he is an ideal 3 pt specialist off the bench. It is very clear we are missing his hustle and fire on this years team.

Football:
Quinn Johnson: Somebody mentioned him earlier on the thread and I couldn't agree more. One of the best fullbacks LSU has had in a very long time.

Ali Highsmith: Ali was huge on the 2007 national championship team defense and is often overlooked but is one of LSU's better linebackers of the decade. I've also seen a lot of Kevin Minter on this list which is another great choice.

Baseball:
I'm sure I will think of a much better choice later but for now I'm going with some of the true heart and soul on the 2009 National Championship team: Nick Pontiff, Buzzy Haydel and Chris McGhee. These guys were all great characters and true Tigers. With the legacy of Wally Pontiff, it was pretty cool as a longtime fan to see his brother get the opportunity to win a National Title. I'll always have respect for Mainieri putting those guys on the field in the 9th inning of the CWS final.

2009 was the first year I had any specific awareness of LSU baseball. Previously it had only been as an admirer of the program in general. I agree that Nick Pontiff, Buzzy Haydel and Chris McGhee played essential roles on that team, often without garnering the spotlight.

Cedric Donaldson

His pick-6 against Florida in 1997 sealed it for us.
