You are insinuating they are so wrong our class is actually really good.

Not exactly. It was their research that showed they are wrong and I believe them. Using their numbers as a cold hard fact then can also be incorrect.

quote:

We would need an unpecidented number of players to greatly exceed their rankings for this class to be good enough

I think that if they just adjusted a couple players in this class it would be much better already as far as their rankings go.

Kelvin Joseph:
The 4-star safety who signed and is being moved to CB was a 5-star CB before switching to safety.

Chasen Hines:
Was a 5-star or very high 4-star depending on the recruiting service before switching to defensive tackle is moving back to his higher ranked position of O-line.

Then you also have these:

LSU's 19th rated player of the 23 signed according to the services was named to the 6A 1st team All-State team in Florida.

Dare Rosenthal who was a 5-star O-lineman before moving to D-line and getting dropped to a 3-star and may possibly get moved to his 5-star position.

Not to mention the players that Eaux recruited and signed that will never show up in any rankings who will play for the first time this season.

Breiden Fehoko who started in his very first and every game he played at TX Tech. Was in the ESPN 300 (51) Ranked as the No. 4 defensive lineman in this year's class by Scout and the No. 24 overall prospect.

Jonathan Giles - Texas Tech's leading receiver as a sophomore. 1,158 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns on 69 catches. Was added to the Biletnikoff Award watch list midway through the season

Thaddeus Moss The No. 123 player nationally regardless of position by Rivals.com ... No. 6 tight end nationally and No. 7 overall player in North Carolina by Rivals.com

This was the 20th rated player at his position and the 16th best LSU commit for his class.

Yes, it is widely known that Les Miles and Nick Saban are two of the best at putting their players into the NFL. Too bad one of them is not a coach anymore....
why is it too bad?

Do you still want him here?

Why hasn't he landed another job (or even an interview)?

Id take him back in a second over ed orgeron. I wanted him gone as well but not if the option was this proven loser we have on the sideline.

You are one lazy inquisitive MO-FO. you don't get ESPN.com? Why should the guy post other SEC team's records on the LSU board?

All of the fans of other teams who post here all the time already know their team's records for that time frame.

That's one way of looking at it.

The potential flaw in that logic was the belief that anyone could get that talent. This is what a lot of people assumed.

If early reports of the current guy are any indication, that appears to be false, and perhaps Les shouldn't have been fired until someone that has a record of recruiting well for himself became available.

You say that like we got a 5 star CB and 2 5 Star OL.

But we don’t know how they would have graded out outside how they graded out.

I have found article calling Hines a 3* guard and a 4* Center.

I have Found articles caling Joseph a 4star CB

Dare hasn’t even switched to OL.

But really those guys aren’t why this class is so low.

It alls the 3 stars that youre pimping as the Russell Gages and Ronald Martin’s of this class.

because that record taken in a vacuum looks bad, but when compared to other SEC schools, you see that LSU more or less performed within line with its expected win total based on talent on the roster.

by the way, the answer is , LSU posted the 3rd best record in that time frame.

other SEC schools haven't had the extreme talent we've had. And we're equal to Bama with NFL talent on our roster.

he doesn't even care. he simply has this entire blurb
quote:

The 4-star safety who signed and is being moved to CB was a 5-star CB before switching to safety. Dare Rosenthal who was a 5-star O-lineman before moving to D-line and getting dropped to a 3-star and may possibly get moved to his 5-star position. saved on a microsoft word doc, and copies and pastes it when convenient.

ive never said that. I thought Les was a great recruiter, but didn't maximize the talent once it got on campus.

correct, which is why LSUs record over that span is the 3rd best in the conference.

LSU is quite literally not. Bama brought in 7 consecutive #1 recruiting classes. LSU brought in 7 consecutive classes.

well damn, print the shirts!!

I guess I'm just too stupid to realize that I should've been proud to be third best in the SEC, and with a 10-10 record against the West, with all that talent. My bad.

So they had the second best talent , and the third best record in some random arbitrary time frame you picked.

Seems like you are really worked up over nothing

Correct. And how many championships does LSU have during this time frame? You KNOW the answer. That's why Les is no longer here.

Something for thought. How many teams with a #1 recruiting class that year have won the title?

You seem to be ignoring the fact that a team in the division had more talent over that period and a coach regarded as the best of all time.

So what is your point ? Les Miles squandered talent?

Then why the frick am I being told in here everyday that Orgeron basically had to build LSU football from scratch because Miles left the program is such horrible shape?
