At this point, what is more likely?

One the one hand, we have a young team that should mature through the season and progress as the season plays out.

On the other hand, they are young (and maybe not very talented) and may throw in the towel if things don't turn around.

What is more likely?

Neither of your options.

LSU will play in the SEC tourney, may/may not make super regional depending on how the season goes.

No. Just no. This is not the basketball team. They will scratch and claw nightly to turn it around. Will they?? Who knows, but you won't see quitters on the baseball team.

They shouldn't miss SEC tourney. Probably won't get to a Super Regional. Just want them to keep playing hard and get better. Very young. Hitting has to improve with runners on base. Need pitching staff to step up. Poche' looked better last night.

This team has plenty of talent. Most of them are freshman, Juco transfers, or guys just getting there first starts in SEC play. Please give this team some time. I promise they will be better in May than they are now. The question is how big will the hole be when they figure it out.

Reminds me a lot of the 2010 team that just waited too long to turn it around and missed the SEC tourney (at the time only 10 teams got in) but had a top 25 rpi and sould have went to the NCAA tourney.

As this team improves - and they will as they get more big-game experience - look at the schedule. They can take 2/3 from War Eagle. Vandy is gonna hurt. At least 2/3 if not sweep Missouri. 2/3 vs Moo U. Ole Miss might lose that series. Arky will be tough but we will be better then. Can take 2/3 and/or sweep Tennessee. Florida will be tough but again, it's the end of the season and I believe we will be playing better.

I think this team can win 13-15 SEC games. That would get us in the SEC tourney. Likely make NCAA but as a 2 seed not hosting.

That's my guess.

Which is more likely going to a tournament that takes 85% of the conference or a super regional where they have a 5% chance of getting in based off the number of teams... Seems pretty fricking obvious.

I don't see either option happening this season.
13-14 SEC wins probably gets in the SEC tourney.

Not sure this team will make it through a regional on the road.

Don't anticipate a SR this year.

Super regional, because we're not missing the SEC tournament. Easy answer.

I think the SEC Tourney is very likely. A Super is doubtful. However, many games remain. Lange needs to get to last years form or at least close and the bullpen has to improve. Inexperienced hitters should improve with experience.

This is BOGUS! The Tigers have won the SEC regular season, SEC tourney, or both, 7 out of the last 8 seasons. Although that may change this year, look for the Tigers to make the SEC tourney and a NCAA regional

I'm not trying to attack you but get this bullshite out of here. This baseball team is one of the hardest working it stems directly from working with Andy Cannizaro.

There aren't any Simmons, Quartermanns, or Sampsons on this team.

If we host, we're going to Omaha... the regional fields and the super regional are usually weaker than an average SEC opponent, so Poche and Lange should get us 2/3 of the way through the regional and our bats should win one on Sunday or Monday...

Then same with the super regional... that will be in June. This is March
