I can't sit here and say I was as die hard of an LSU fan when I was growing up (in the 90's) as I am now. But now that we can literally watch every single baseball game on watchESPN would y'all consider this to be one of the more complete teams we've had in the 2000's or maybe even LSU history? We literally do it all and have the national statistical rankings to prove it. I know we've had better offenses in certain years, and better pitching in others, but I don't remember having as complete of a team as we do now. I haven't even mentioned our baserunning abilities which Cannizzaro deserves so much credit for on top of what he's helped us do in the batter's box. Lastly the fielding is incredible also. Best outfield in the country hands down, not to mention Bregman and Scivique could be argued as the best at their respective postions. I know people always want to live in the moment and crown every good team as "The Best Ever", but this one IMO is near the top. Thoughts?

I don't know man. That 2000 team was filthy deep with talent. Not to mention it will be difficult to compare teams with the new bats against teams with the old bats.

09...had hitters up and down the lineup, more power, equal or greater baserunning, better starting pitching, and better backend relief pitching.

This team has similar qualities to that team. I think that team was just better. I like this teams experience better and if we win it all that will be a major reason why.

Oh for sure, and I'm definitely not saying this is the most talented team we've had, but just as an overall team, it's gotta be up there.

Yea I can't argue against '09. We may have a few better contact hitters throughout our lineup this year, but they pretty much have the rest covered.
