Why would we go after Mustain?

I've read a lot of 'off the wall' offseason threads, but this one takes the cake. It just sucks because when I opened it, I was expecting more humerous responses.

Yeah can you imagine our offense in 2011 with Mitch Mustain as our QB and John Gruden as the hear coach.....

When does his eligibility expire? It seems like he's been around for like 8 years

We have a playbook? He only needs to learn the option to the short side of the field, right?

I was thinking all he has to do is look over to the sideline and Les will tell him where to throw it, but the short side option works too...or maybe it doesn't?

Mitch lost out to Matt Barkley for starter last season and Matt wasn't that spectacular as a starter.

I saw Mustain play alot in high school and again at univ of ark. I would love for the Tigers to sway him our way. However, won't happen

I'd prefer Dave Mustain myself.

QB is our weakest position. Seems fair to discuss this. It's like the DH in baseball, we're just talking here as sports fans. Relax.

You can't say anything in rant without getting attacked

That sounds kinda sketchy...

Well... If I've learned anything from all this - It's that USC should stand for Unscrupulous Sketchy Consortium.

Ol' Pete prolly told Barkley to take a dive so he'll still be there when he comes back in 3 years.

If Carroll stays in Seattle, what do you think the odds are he hires Monte as his DC in 3 years of so?

He's been in a pro style offense. By the time he'd learn Crowton's...

As ridiculous as this thread is, I'd welcome him for one year with open arms. How is he or how could he be any worse than the stooges we have playing there now?

If he was allowed to come (shits and giggles) in and join the team, would you hope he would be the starter by August?

We would have to look at it this way...do we think this is one more "rebuilding year", where we throw a lot of new talent onto the field and hope it pays off for 2012 (Bama, Florida, Auburn on the road) or do we want to try for one season to pull out all the stops and go for an SEC c'ship and possibly hurt us for 2012 - a season we likely lose 3-4 games in?

IF this did happen...which it won't.

Why? Do you want to see Crowton screw up another quarterback?
