Was looking for a thread from a local LSU fan.

There are several threads on this board, probably some still on the front page, that give advice and info.

We lived in Columbia from 2015-2021; how can I help? Not sure about parking, because they never sold out a game when we lived there. But as far as restaurants etc., I can recommend places.

Just curious if there is anything worth seeing as far as game day experience on campus.
Is there a better place to park as far as leaving and traffic?
How strict is the drinking enforcement as far as open container?

I think most of the parking is permit-only. Best bet is probably going to be parking garages downtown and then taking a bus, uber etc. unless you get there early enough to park at the VA hospital parking garage. I think they charge $30? It’s about a block away from the stadium. A lot of people park on the shoulders of Providence and Stadium, which are the roads that intersect at the stadium. As far as the game day experience itself, I don’t think it will be much to speak of. The stadium is pretty underwhelming, fan base is lukewarm. I’m sure they will be fired up for this game and the fact that they’re undefeated. Mizzou’s campus is pretty in the fall, lots of old buildings. “The District”, which is downtown, has quite a few restaurants, bars and a few breweries. Lots of panhandling & unfortunately a lot of homeless people.
