And, morality? You really think a chant at a football game is immoral? I swear, the way you 'senior citizens' talk about STTDB, you'd think the student section was running on the field and raping the cheerleaders.

I swear, these STTDB threads have really opened my eyes to how incredibly trashy many people are. I really didn't realize it before.

I just don't get why anyone cares. I don't say it. I don't particularly give 2 damns if the band plays the song... I don't care if they play it and STTDB is said

You can be indifferent. Most aren't though. It's run its course as:

Funny ( maybe )
Then Classless
Then Old

It's shelf life has expired. Time to toss it.

Would you shout the same trash to these athletes in a bar? I doubt it. Who's the pussy?

Gee, I never thought of that. It totally changes everything. If I ever meet your grandmother, mother or sister then I'll introduce myself, check my package and say STTDB. I'm sure that all the men in your family (if there are any who can be called that) will understand that I am only having fun.

Yes, would be a great idea because STTDB cheer is something drunken inbred hicks would yell.
LSU is a state university benefiting from every taxpayer in Louisiana. Frankly as an alumna, it is just embarrassing. The "it is to protest" is feeble at best, and the Wisconsin's is bad too is just ridiculous.

So yeah, if they can't maintain and act responsibly, OUT.

Of course they wouldn't.
I definitely vote for the "walk of shame" as they are escorted out of the Student Section and out of TS.

They can't seem to understand they represent the Uni, the State, and yeah, their parents, who must be so proud to see their drunken kid screaming STTDB on TV.

f you tried to eject a drunken student section after the game has started for chanting STTDB, you'd have a full-scale riot on your hands.

All it would take is recording the students, identifying and putting them on probation for code of conduct violation.
But if you want to riot and go to jail and get kicked out of the University, and have to go get a job, but hey, that's up to you if sucking a tiger's d*ck is that important to you.

Good for them. Boot all the students and open up spots for the waiting list.

wouldn't be a waiting list for long

Absolutely eject them.

Then after the 3rd time, sell those great seats to a waiting public

is that all it would take?

that would be a national story due to the amount of injuries and rioting that would occur. The students wouldn't move

it was said on the SECrant that the reason they were ejected was that they were chanting a coach's dead daughter's name at him. that's pretty shitty and i don't think it's pussification for throwing them out. i love poor taste, but that is a little too much.

When Steve Kerr was playing for Arizona, Arizona State fans chanted "P-L-O, where's your dad?" Kerr's dad was president of American University in Beirut and had been assassinated by terrorists.

ETA, and FWIW, I sit in the NEZ directly across from the student section. I never noticed the STTDB chant or any of the others until people started making an issue of it. This is something the administration won't win without doing something drastic that will be far out of proportion to a silly chant and will make the students seem like martyrs in a lot of people's eyes.

I think its pretty trashy that you judge people. Who the hell do you think you are? Certainly not me and I can judge people.

20 points for each home game. 60 points needed to make the top of the list. I work most weekends so 3 is about the most I can make per year. I'll pay more, but frick y'all for trying to say I don't deserve these. If we gave them out to those who did, then a lot of people wouldn't have them.

Nonsense. No one will be a martyr in anyone's eyes for something stupid like this. There won't be any riots. It will play out just like it has for the Chicago Bulls. Until proven otherwise I will give the students enough credit that they are at least as smart as the average Chicagoan. If LSU wants to clean this up (which it does) it will take it step-by-step (like it is already doing). If it comes to ejecting the non-compliant students from the game, the university will do that. If a particular student is stupid enough to resist the ejection, he will be brought up on disciplinary charges and it will go on his academic record. If several students violently resist (and does anyone really think this is going to happen?) they will be arrested and brought up on criminal charges. I guarantee the judge will have no sympathy. You don't have a right to scream obscenities at a university function. If the university asks you to stop (for whatever reason) you should stop. I don't understand why this is so hard.

This.

The university is trying to protect the students from themselves. They make themselves look like trash when they chant this stuff, and that makes LSU look liek trash and makes all of us look like trash as well. I totaslly understand why LSU wants to cut this out.

If Ole Miss can get the Battle Flag out of Vaught Hemingway, then LSU should be able get rid of the more obscene chants.
