By holding this cold war with the administration he is holding LSU hostage with his 4-7 SEC West record over the past two years.

A great man will announce his retirement, saving TAF the buyout, and gracefully step down, with honor.

he's having a standoff with his buyout negotiations. Joe offered him 1 million dollars to pull an urban.

You should do what's best for tigerdroppings.com and its posters... And stop posting.

He will never leave 15 million dollars on the table and just leave it there.

It's the honorable thing to do. Any true LSU fan would have to admit that.

So if someone was supposed to pay you $15 million, you'd say "no thanks, I'll just retire instead"?

Would you? THat's 15 mil on the table i would fight for that. What part of Les Miles's pass makes you think he won't fight to the bitter end to save his job or get all his money?

I'm not even hoping he returns, but business is business, if we want him gone we need to in the words of Teddy KGB...

Possibly he was given that option, but with a reduced buyout. Maybe it was reduced more than he thought it should be, so he's playing hardball. I'm guessing there's a lot of negotiations that have gone on behind closed doors that has the devil in the details.

An honorable man who lived the program would retire, therefore nullifying the buyout.

That's what a great man would do

Save the 'Holier than thou talk' If put in the same position, you would not step down nor would I. You are asking Miles to do something you would never do, and if you did, you would show tremendously poor judgment.

People say that this is a business. I agree and I think Miles should make a business decision that is best for him and his family. Why do the honorable thing when the 'powers that be' have shown little honor in the way they have handled this situation?
