I still don't understand Mingo at DE.

Have they found a position for Clement yet? What is he doing on offense?

Clement has some good hands. I don't think he's better than Peterson though.

Davenport not being able to hold the point against Lonergan was telling, IMO. He looks like he needs to get much stronger in his lower half.

Damn, did you see Perrilloux, errrrrr Sheppard blow up Theriot. That is one bad man. Can't wait to see him play this year. It is awesome to see players develop like that over the years.

Couldn't help but notice that Miles lost track of the score at one point: "Is it 5 to 5?" That sent shudders up my spine and reminded me of, well, you know what. Seriously, though, that could happen to anyone, I know, but after the Ole Miss game . . .

I could have sworn he told him to down the ball!

Great video. I eat that shite up. Can you imagine if at the spring game, Les opens it up with the Big Cat drill. Talk about a crowd reaction.

Drills like these are big and set the intensity and also add to the competition. Rarely do 1's get to go against each other so when you do get the chance, you either take advantage of it or get humbled a little, either way I love seeing this being incorporated into LSU practice.

I don't know if I buy into the "this Big Cat drill is going to make LSU a more physical team or run the football better". From that vid, seems like more of a rah rah rah...team unity/chemistry building drill. No technique coaching going on there, just Les doing a little "I'm a player's coach" and "Firing up the squad prior to practice" in front of the cameras, which there is nothing wrong with that at all. The team seemed to like it.

That was very Sabaneque. Players eat that shite up.

But Miles is also having a great time with the guys. You can see why he's considered a players' coach. Not that it's good all of the time and there are times where I don't think he's hard enough to get them where they need to be; but from a personal perspective, I enjoy watching him coach the guys! I'm sure the guys also enjoy playing for him more than our players did for Saban. Who was it that said "4 years was enough" when asked about playing for Saban in the pros? Was it Marcus Spears? Can't remember.

Oh, come on man, just take a few deep breaths and calm down. You said it all in the second sentence...it could have happened to anyone, including me. I lost track to the count myself, and I had nothing else to do but count and enjoy the action. You're right about seeing the coaches and players fired up. Nothing like a little inter-squad competition to get the guys excited.

Admit how many times have you watched this video. I've watched it a good 10 times now. That Les Miles can might make a living out of announcing boxer's names before fights...like that one guy...after his coaching days. He sure gets animated announcing some of the defense...Mingo, Sheppard, Montgomery, Taylor. Hilarious.

Les had some great one-liners through out that vid.

"Cut it off. Cut it off." WTF?

"Be a man. Step into the seat."

"Kiki Mingo. Ooooooooooooo, West Monrooooooooooe."

"Sam Montgomery. Sin Sammmmmmmmmm."

"And Kelvin Sheppard. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh...ohhhhhhhhhh...ohhhhhhhhhhh that ain't fair. That ain't fair. That ain't, that ain't fair. That ain't fair." - my favorite
