"We decided to bring Danny in. He was productive right away... He was not perfect by any means"

"As I recall he was 6/14 which is not what we want"

"There were some Guys wide open but it was his first start"

"He played well... To a point"

Meanwhile Harris was stagnant yet his attitude towards him was that he just wasn't comfortable and they just need to get him comfortable. (If you're a junior at LSU and can't get comfortable against jax state is it not beyond bigger issue?)

This has Jefferson/lee saga written all over it.

None of those quotes sound like trashing anyone. Paul Manieri laughs at this weak example of throwing players under the bus

Harris has the dirty secret files passed on from JJ. Am I doing this right?

Oh and DE had a shot until he started messing up in the second half. It will be like J Lee in the Bama game. He gone.

People are motivated differently.. Harris is probably a little soft for such harsh criticism. I assume Les thinks this will push Etling to be even better

It's not being a pussy or overreaching given what's happened Durring miles time here. How could you not be concerned with miles decisions involving QB.

And btw that 6/14 should have been 9/14.

I've heard and read the comments. If you think that is "trashing" then you are extremely soft.

Miles knows these kids better than any of us. He's a father figure to a lot of them. Maybe he knows that this kind of thing lights a fire under Etling's arse, but would only hurt Harris's confidence rather than motivate him. I know that my parents and all my friends' parents treated their children different than other siblings depending on what kind of punishment, criticism etc. they respond to.

He has probably seen in practice that he isn't the savior, and is trying to temper expectations. I mean, he did go 6/14. Granted, a couple dropped passes and that looks better. And yes, pocket presence was better, and all that stuff. Not trying to knock the guy at all, but it seems as reasonable as any explanation.

In this saga does one of them not get the job done, and the other comes in and wins the game and again proves he was the better QB option? Just so I know what to look for. Thx in advance.

My god, get over it. It's refreshing to even hear him speak in factual coherent sentences.

How about not defending our narcissistic HC? Anyone even remotely trying to be objective will admit he went way out of his way to temper any excitement about Etling's performance.
