Sorry, but I just read one of Les Miles interviews in Kansas and was amused, his quirky Milesisms will be missed. Here’s a new one , “players anticipated there being a new feeling.” What did he do, hand out Viagra to his Kansas players?

Not at all. Right after him repeatedly refusing to adapt and change the offense, his rambling, incoherent interviews are what I disliked most.

I will not miss this at all. Miles was a very good man but he was also a average coach who refused to adapt …..at all... to the changing landscape of football. Because of this refusal, he drove the LSU program back into mediocrity.

I know the past is the past but it still blows my mind how stubborn he was. To the point where it led to his own demise. Think of how much success his teams could have had if he just embraced change and allowed the offense to evolve.

Thing is, i don’t think they were quirks. I think he’s generally not that bright. Couple that with extreme arrogance and you see what happens.

Exactly, people give him way too much credit...they think his comments are laced with mythical codes and hidden messages that will be revealed and make sense once he holds up another natty trophy, when in reality the game, concepts, and terminology have passed him up so much he uses a lot of confused words that make no sense to the subject of the question to cover up his lack of knowledge and understanding.

Can we not talk about him anymore? Let’s leave that frustration in the past.

1) I cheered like hell for Miles every day that he was the LSU HC. Then, the day he wasn't...I moved on.

2) That isn't even a Milesism. Do you not think the LSU offense was "anticipating there being a new feeling" the moment they met Joe Brady and knew the offense was changing? It is a perfectly reasonable statement.

Leave it up to Louisiana for hating on a guy that talks different. Did you guys forget who our head coach is?

The people saying he's not bright? Well he was smart enough to make millions and set his family up for life.

He plays up that quirky Dad to the media. Go listen to his podcasts or his older coaches shows. The guy knows football.

Here's a quote from the article.

quote:

"I have never invited anybody in our team room except people that had vested interests — families, academic people, certainly the assistant coaches — because it is a private place," Miles said. "It is where we say, 'You weren't good enough today. We need you to be good enough for us to win.' And it's a place where honesty is forthright."

Now someone break this down and explain how you are too stupid to understand him.

Les Miles im so glad he's not our coach anymore i wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't win a game this year especially since he doesn't have the same talent he had here

nope.

Quirky is cute when you're performing well, but with the decline the last few years, those quirks just made him seem like an idiot.

Think of the games we wouldn’t have lost had he let his coaches coach and he stay out of it.
