It wasn't just a win against Tulane:

quote:

LSU head coach Les Miles moved past Nick Saban as the third-winningest coach in school history tonight. Miles’ 49 victories (fifth season) surpasses Saban’s 48 wins (five seasons).

This happened tonight, the week before the Alabama game.

not at all. Just a factoid that I didn't hear about until just now. And one that the rant could have fun with.

I think in terms of starting shite, it would have been better if they were tied at 48 coming into next week.

oh, and the score for tonight's game was 49-0.

But then again, it'd be cooler if it was a 49-48 barnburner.

Don't pretend like it doesn't matter. It's always been Miles vs. Saban, and always will be.

even a Miles supporter would have to admit that your stat is useless, since it compares Saban coming in here with much less talent available than what Miles inherited. Let's see how Bama finishes this season and see if Saban can duplicate at Bama what he accomplished at LSU. So far he is on track imo. Don't get me wrong , I hope we beat the shite out of him and Bama !

Sooooo...

If Saban had been able to figure out a way to beat UAB, he and Miles would be tied right now.

Or, if Saban had been able to come up with a defense against the Hail Mary, we wouldn't have lost those two games to Iowa and Arkansas, and Saban would still be ahead of Miles by one game.

Oh really! I guess it was Saban's development of players that allowed several of those 'less talented' players to go on to the NFL. One of those 'less talented' players is the captain of the Dallas Cowboys D! Quit hanging around bama fans, your starting to sound like them!
