miles is just an old style football coach, who is very conservative on offense.

i've learned to live with it. He is very good at it. I try not to get frustrated about les not using the offensive talent he has year after year, because les is not going to change.

he wins a lot, so i am going to enjoy that the way miles does it.

Yeah. Don't stop believin'. A very high football IQ does not equal wins. In fact, a coach with a very high football IQ might disregard input by assistant coaches because he thinks he knows better.

Is this a rhetorical question or are you making an indirect statement about miles.

In which case do you have any links/audio clippings/video/statements from players/coaches/ex players/ex coaches to support this random propaganda that is rampant in the rant?

There was no question....it was just an observation. Think of a crazy dictator that does not listen to his advisors to understand the meaning.

We run 8 plays maybe. There is nothing to "prepare" for. Everyone knows what we're going to do. You simply need the talent to stop it - our guys usually win their one on one battles, which is why we win games.

The problem is we'll run into similar talent and scheme and turnovers will tip the scales. i.e. BCS title game, we were outcoached. Auburn, turnovers kept the game closer than it should have been.

ooh - excellent logical fallacy - Begging the question - read it up

Observations and inferences are half baked subjective views based on nothing because they don't have to rely on something necessary called facts.

Can you point to a link where a player or associate of Miles gives credence to this particular position ,that is advanced by a certain portion of the rant (including yourself I suppose).

I am a true Tiger fan & went to LSU. I also like Les but last Sat. game, Lsu looked like a bad high school team. We played a good team, but the turn overs & penalty were just crazy. I hope Lsu will bounce back this week & play Tiger football, other wise it is going to be a long day! I just don't see fire in the eyes of the Tigers since the NC game.

Why do people think this is such a master plan? You're fools to believe this.
Why do people disregard an 80-18 record over 7.4 years? You're fools to do this.

Just tell me, do you think it takes an effective "master plan" to win an average of 10.83 games a year in the premier and by far most competitive conference in major collage football? And do it year in and year out for 7+ years? Or does this just happen by chance and luck with no "master plan"???

tiger1014

please tell me how many of the end-arounds, fake fieldgoals you forecasted and posted. pls provide a link.

this post is probably too cerebral for some, but, answer: why telegraph your playbook? why show your hand in early cupcake games?

did miles not beat washington? is he undefeated?
was he undefeated (except 1/9) last year?

this "secret playbook" is very easy to see in hindsight. why do you think he would change and show YOU what they practice??

Do you prefer high IQ or wins?

Because by the end of this year Les will have more wins than any coach at LSU accept the dude that was there 18 years.

ETA: And the highest winning percentage - .816
