His call-in show was funny as ****. You know, I'll admit I sometimes wanna bang my head on the wall watching some of our games but you know what, he wins way more than he loses, seems to really enjoy what he does and kids seem to like playing for him. We are probably pretty lucky to have him but don't realize it all the time.

It also seems like the sideline reporters really enjoy interviewing him as well. There's a great video out on the 2011 team and towards the end you see Miles and one of the sideline refs laughing it up. Next clip is Saban throwing headset and going balistic.

I hope you're wrong as far as him being the greatest we'll ever have. It's LSU that has made Miles, not the other way around. Will you feel the same way if we lose to Bama for the 4th straight time?

This anti Miles thing is beyond stupid. Of course LSU made Miles. You can tell by the winning % of all previous head coaches. Those guys didn't face the SEC at its peak like the last 10 years. Probably further back than most of you can remember.

Is LSU a good job...yes it is a good job. Is Miles a good coach...Yes he is.

1) Highly debatable, and you would LOSE the debate. Let me guess.... you are a sniveling revisionist "historian" who would argue that Les only was great with inherited talent or some such stupid bullshite.

2) This is his tenth year. He has earned his way as being part of the fabric of Louisiana, and his personality is well beyond a perfect fit that might not work anywhere else on the planet. Les Miles is LSU football, whether you like it or not, and believe it or not, he is nationally renowned and brings credit upon this university.

3) frick you for trolling.

4) At this point in time, yes. How many years did we give Cholly Mac to beat Bama?

5) Appreciate Miles while we have him, because whether you like it or not, he is a stalwart and vested coach on the national scene by all of the media and college football fans in general, even with all of his "foibles."

Now, back to the task at hand....BEAT THE FILTHY GUMPS!!!!

I agree. In before he also says Miles is still winning 10 games a year with Saban's players. lol

The thing I like about Miles the most is that he is a good man on top of being a solid winner. He isn't afraid of any opponent either.

The "crazy" thing gets blown out of proportion somewhat.

I think his chewing-grass tradition is awesome, and his explanation for why he does it is actually quite profound, but usually people just skip by that part and talk up the crazy/Mad Hatter narrative.

This. I have several friends that are HS Head Coaches in and around BR and, to a man, they all say what a great and genuine man he is. He shows up at games sometimes looking like a casual fan, takes time to speak to everyone etc. He'll be sorely missed when he's gone.

It made Saban as well....still doesn't negate the fact that he'll retire as the winningest football coach in LSU history.
