Miles buyout

Why was Miles' buyout considered an issue? Wouldn't future salary count against it? I would think many teams would want Miles.

His buyout wasn't an issue at all.

Perceived Political uninformed Perception of the buyout was the issue.

I agree with perception. But wouldn't that go away immediately? Either way, Royal screw up.

The issue wasn't the buyout. If Jimbo had shown interest he would have been let go. We weren't going to fire Miles and not have an immediate hire. Didn't want to end up with a Strong or Muschamp type of coach we were settling for.
