On his radio show, Miles said they ran a pass play to conserve their last time out to kick a field goal. With a 1st and 10 and already in field goal range with still a minute to go, it seemed really stupid to be trying to stop the clock at all except with maybe two seconds left to kick. You run LF7 or Guice in the hurry up and stop the clock with your TO or by clocking the fricking football. NO NEED to preserve time for Wisky to have some plays!

It's another example of trying to justify a really stupid in-game call. Kind of like a certain day in Oxford when he motioned to JJ to "clock it" (see the irony) with one second left in chip shot field goal range. The stupidity and the lies to cover it up never end.

I highly doubt the reason we wasted 2 timeouts earlier in the game was because of headset problems.

We ran the same play 5 straight times before one of them

No, the coaches were right. We were facing a 47 yard field goal. I'd put the odds of hitting that at about 50%. We should have been taking risks to try to get the ball inside of the 20, and preferably down to the 10.

I have no problem with the call. In fact, if the FSU freshman had been QBing he'd have scrambled after being flushed, and he might still be running.

One thing I would have liked to see is a little help on TJ Watts from our TE. A simple chip on the way out in the pattern would have allowed Malone to set up inside and get early control of Watts.

so you spread the field with 4 wr and give BH the zone read or run pass option. Offense can be easy if the staff wasn't retarded

Don't know Colby's longest, but he damn near missed that extra point.

Les most likely wasn't comfortable with the range.

But again, most rantards wouldn't win a single game if they were the coach.

And on the last play Harris had day light. Should have been an easy scramble. Instead he throws the int.

Miles has been mismanaging clock since the day he arrived on Campus. The home game after Katrina against TN had 2-3 blunders. I remember the ST coach trying tackle miles because he was trying to call a TO after we intercepted the ball. Dumbass didn't realize the clock stopped on a change of possession.

since he doesn't use his legs and take off don't you think they must be coaching him not to?

Was there over minute left? He could have run twice then called timeout.

The guy cannot field a decent offensive line and this supposed to be his forte. What is he good at?

A minute plus a few seconds when the ball was snapped on the pick play.

You are wrong. A 47 is well within range and with three plays on the ground you probably get it alot closer. You don't let BH lose the game with an errant throw.

If we have to get to the ten to kick a field goal then we really do need a new coach.

he has been caught in a number of lies but that wasn't one of them. with one TO and one minute to go a pass play that worked would have been a great call. we were barely in FG range and it would have been much better to get closer. if the OL had blocked right that play was an easy completion close to the side line. WR could have stepped out and we still would have had +50 sec. to run at least one more play before calling the TO.
