First off, RIP Mike VI he was our family member while that represented multiple national championships for Louisiana St.

For all the extremists who are trying to block Mike VII, make note:

THERE ARE MORE TIGERS LIVING IN SAFETYIN TEXAS THAN IN THE WILD OF THE ENTIRE WORLD PUT TOGETHER.

If push comes to shove, the odds are that at least one tiger owner will be in a place in his life where he is looking to sell his majestic animal.

The PETA eating tasty animals folks cannot use the excuse that's it's cruel, because once domesticated, they cannot be released back into the wild. LSU will be saving its life with the best care, bar none.

With that being said, let's continue to dedicate this wild season to Mike VI, and win out for the big guy!!!!

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Was this necessary? And this couldn't have been posted in other Mike threads?

Talked to someone that works at LSU the other day. She said the word is that they aren't getting another tiger( not that I believe her) A couple years ago I shelled out a couple hundred bucks for one of those bricks with my parents names and anniversary

World on track to lose two-thirds of wild animals by 2020, major report warns
quote:

The number of wild animals living on Earth is set to fall by two-thirds by 2020

The analysis, the most comprehensive to date, indicates that animal populations plummeted by 58% between 1970 and 2012, with losses on track to reach 67% by 2020.

Where is PETA in all this?

They don't seem to be having much impact....

Depending on the Federal paperwork etc, I would not be surprised to see a new Mike introduced at the Alabama game.

A lot of people work at LSU and don't know shite. Is she high up at the vet school? I know someone who works at the vet school and he certainly doesn't know.

I don't think I'd put much stock in this, since Alexander defended the live mascot tradition and directed Dr. Baker and the vet school to begin looking for Mike VII, when it was discovered that Mike VI's cancer had spread.

Could regulations/difficulty with obtaining a mascot from a reputable rescue/zoo hinder the search? Possibly. I hope not. But I doubt someone who just started working in the vet school would know this. If the vet school and LSU administration concluded we weren't getting another tiger already, I promise you, the news would be all over the internet.

The admins will be getting a less that two year old tiger. That is what they are looking for among other things. So they aren't taking some crusty oil dude's 6 year old tiger right before he kicks the bucket and sells his estate.

I believe the PETA's have gotten it outlawed to sell these cats. He would have to be donated.

What you all are missing is that we need a Michelle the Tiger who would breed us future Mikes and Michelles and we would not have to worry about this shite anymore.
