Does anyone have an update on the search for our next LSU live Tiger mascot and the consensus on whether PETA could stop us from doing so?

The latest status is that LSU has not yet announced a new tiger.

We had a tiger lined up but he's more of a pro-style tiger and O decided we should get a dual-threat tiger. He found a real big one but outer Mongolia has had him committed for a while and now we are kind of screwed.

When the head of our vet school (can't remember his name) did his press conference he directly noted that the LSU president gave him authority to look for, find, and announce our new Mike.

Wrong......F. King gave permission to conduct a search (and we know how that works on the LSU campus). F. King's "carefully worded" statement clearly stopped short of guaranteeing a live mascot. Sad.....but true.

They never announce things like this until the BOS meeting in 2017. You guys are paranoid. New Mike is already locked up. They won't have a press conference for something like this.
