Outsider looking in, it probably was not pretty. To me, it was the best and most intense LSU game I've ever seen.

That being said, Mike n Mike know absolutely jack shite about college football.

What people want to watch doesnt mean crap. This is to find out who the best team is in the country. Sure, I'm a lifelong football LSU / SEC fanatic and I love a hard nosed , well played defensive battle. Especially when it is two great teams playing. That doesnt mean crap either. It is about the two best teams playing. Period.

07 vs. Florida was little more intense, IMO.

maybe because I was in the stadium

don't get me wrong, I was knawing my fingers off during the Bama game.. but I can understand from an outsider's persepctive why they think it "stunk." it wasn't the best game as far as entertainment value goes.

In the video game age, where Pac 12-style shootouts are the norm in college football, I can understand why many would find such a game "boring". We live in an age with little to no attention span (see any internet forum when complaints are made for a 100+ word post is considered long) and an insatiable need to be entertained at every turn. 9-6 slugfests just don't appeal to that mindset.

The man has the right to state his opinion....
If you dont agree, so be it...thats your god given right...
Dont expect EVERY analyst to praise LSU...it doesnt work that way....
Stop being so sensitive about every negative thing said about LSU......
Its part of the package when you're KING OF THE HILL..

deal with it...

He and Golic are both idiots and Greenberg doesn't know shite about college football

This is so true, but at the same time, I hope more & more folks come out against a rematch- I simply don't want it & Bama doesn't deserve it!

Mike Greenburg is just as dumb as Robert Smith. He will tell you how exciting and great the Ravens were when they won the super bowl and slobber all over their defense and the same with the 86 Bears because he has a man crush on Buddy Ryan. If it was Rutgers, Penn State or some other school in the East he would think it was great. Pay him no mind. Golich doesn't

I generally like Golic and don't cae for Greenberg. He's a metrosexual pretty boy who doesn't sound like he's played any team sport or gotten his hands dirty. And he spends the whole football season talking about the Jets/Giants/Patriots/Bears/Eagles, etc, and spends the baseball season talking about the Yankees/Red Sox/Cubs/Mets. He has no point of sports reference outside that orbit of teams.

That game WAS awesome. They'd have never liked watching football in days of old when men were men. Defense WINS! Finished.

The "outsiders" that I hear from have watched one LSU game this year (Alabama) and think that our offense sucks. They are shocked to hear that we scored over 40 points in 7 of our 11 games. If you really, really care who wins, and you're living and dying on every play, a 9-6 win is incredible! If not, I can understand how someone who has watched one LSU game this year would think like Greenie. An all-SEC championship game, especially a re-match, would drive a lot of folks around the country crazy. And I love it.

to me i thought it was one of the most intense and exciting games i've ever watched, but for most people that dont have an affiliation with either schools overwhelming have been saying it was extremely boring and sloppy game to watch

What is wrong with these people!? He just said he doesn't want to watch another boring game in the National Championship but still feels a rematch is the only thing to do. Then continues to whine about a playoff system.

I guess when two great defenses loaded with pro talent get together and beat the hell out of each other it is boring these days. Sorry but it just infuriates me when I hear BS like that. Go watch a freaking Tuesday night MAC game if you want to be entertained, Mike!

but they have no problem with a 45-3 game...... makes no sense to me.....
