I'm assuming this is the area they're looking at to house the new library -

There HAS to be a library somewhere on campus though to handle the thousands of students that study there simultaneously during finals

Won't be a minute too soon. That monstrosity has been ruining the quad from its very inception.

They should tear both down and build a multi-story, multi-function building (with the new library inside) where Lockett is similar to the Miller Learning Center at UGA.

Lockett getting torn down makes me sad. Had at least 10 classes in there.

Locket is where I took T. Harry Williams' last class.

Worked in Lockett in the 90s and took several classes there. It was already aging

you're obviously the dumbass. you don't know what political party he is affiliated with if he is at all. and what does party affiliation have to do with it anyway. absolutely nothing. this country is becoming polarized because of dumbasses like you. you pigeonhole people w/o the first bit of evidence. in other words, you are an ignorant biased person and YOU are the problem. why don't you grow up and be the solution.

Hey Dumbass - way to miss the point that the idea of spending what you don't have while asking for more money is a democratic idea. Stupid shite like you have nothing to do with commenting on college.

Lockett and Middleton were both horrific the moment they were conceived, esp Middleton with where some idiot back in the 50's thought it should go.

Good. That abomination (edit: Middleton) should never have been built there to begin with.

Those desks on the 3rd floor of Middleton should be saved though - the ones with the partitions had some hilarious stuff written on them. I'd laugh my arse off reading the stuff people wrote on them.

Yes, that appears to be the proposed location of a new library. Makes so much sense to put it here and link the quad with the business/engineering/coast and environment part of campus.

The latest draft of plans can be found in the middle of the BoS meeting notes from this month: LINK
