Michael put in his time with the Olympic and women's sports and also was a student SID back in the day. He's earned his stripes.

I think Bonnette does a good job and I have seen the guy put in some serious hours. I have a lot of respect for what he does. Add to the fact that it's not easy to survive 20+ years in the LSU athletic department in a high profile position.

That being said, my only real criticism of him is that he's been at LSU working in that department since he was a student. People need new change to grow and institutions need new blood to evolve and thrive. Just as I've said many times on this board about Hawthorne, I don't believe any person in LSU athletics should be the "voice" of LSU for more than 10 years at a time, whether it's in front of, or behind a microphone.

But does he do a good job and work hard for us? Yes, he does.
