he won 2 NCs in 3 years,

Tebow won them.... Just like chizick will never win a NC without buying another cam. Winning a championship this year makes miles do it with completely different personnel. Meyer won't get half the talent he got at Florida. He will make a BCSNCG or two by dominating a shitty conference. But he will do what tressel always did.... And that's lose to the big boys.

just stop. tebow was a freshman on that first team. that first team won because their defense was awesome, not because tebow won it for them. chris leak played most of the game that entire season. tebow came in on 3rd down to run the ball, just like we bring in a big running back, he just happened to be listed as a quarterback. meyer is a good coach dude. there's nothing wrong with saying that. based on people's opinions here, there can only be 1 good coach in football. oh and the state of ohio has PLENTY of football talent, and they're the only school in that state. football did exist, believe it or not, before the SEC's current run, and Ohio State won a national title not that long ago

Hrs a good coach. But he isn't great. I wouldnt say he's better than tressel. Probably about the same. He's not good enough to make Ohio state compete with the SEC powerhouses.

I'm aware about the history of CFB. and that they once were great. But so was notre dame. Ohio state being on probation doesn't help either.

And anyone who watched that game against Miami knows that Miami won. The pass interference call on the last play of the game could never be found in the replays, yet was upheld, allowing OSU to win.

I don't know if anyone could make anyone in the Big 10 compete with the SEC powerhouses right now. That said, Meyer is more than just a pretty good coach. He had a 9-3 season at freaking bowling green. then he had an undefeated season and fiesta bowl win at powerhouse utah. then won a national title at florida in year two and another a year later. now, i'll wait for someone to spin it as if that isn't impressive because of something he deserves no credit for doing. it's weird that meyer can't have any down seasons at florida (he had one) but miles can have a season very similar in 2008, but there is no way meyer can be mentioned with the elite coaches in the country like miles. i don;t even like meyer, probably hate him more than any coach in the country, but saying he isn't a great coach and a great hire by ohio state is just ignorance

Every year Meyer coached at those other schools were down years for those conferences. Do you even watch football?

Besides... Urban won with Mcbride's players.

he will be good with miller. lets see how well he really can recruit. The best and deepest talent lies in the south. I dont see kids from LA, AL, FL, and GA lining up to play at tOSU.
