He seemed very surprised that I recognized him. I thanked him for his passion for LSU. He said he appreciates all the support he's received from us fans. Kid's a stand up guy, and will be a ambassador the university for a while! Hopefully saying hello made him feel like he's an important part of his new school.

I've known Brandon and his family for 4 years now and to say he is a smart gracious respectful young man does not do him or his family enough. I am biased and hope he earns the starting job this year(nothing against Jennings).

Way too much of a hassle to type "Brandon" instead of "B".

Malachi Dupre was in front of me, he seems like a cut up, he was goofing around the whole game

You could tell in his interview at the under armour game this guy has what it takes to be leader and somebody you want on your team.

Nice that he went to the basketball game as well. Really getting into being a true Tiger!

I will never understand why some people (blacks) don't take "very well spoken" as a compliment. I know many of white players that are not very well spoken. It is supposed to mean that a player (whatever color) is articulate, not an insult to other blacks that are not well spoken.
As a QB, I personally want someone who can read defenses, understand the playbook, and communicate with the other players. Wouldn't "very well spoken" convey that idea?

When people, or should I say IF people actually do this, then you are gayer than I previously imagined.

Great Kid hands down my favorite commit in the '14 class

Ten years ago heading into his senior year at Auburn, new offensive coordinator Al Borger really stressed to Jason Cambell that he had to improve his speech if he wanted to be a top quarterback. His country drawl made it very difficult for his teammates to understand him.
Traveling the state for work I deal with people of all colors and some who speak very well and very poorly from all colors. It is near impossible to be a leader/manager without speaking well, it should not be a black/white thing, it is a required life skill

I'm not black, but I'll take a guess. It's because 99 times out of 100 it is said about black people. Rarely does anyone say a white guy is very well spoken. Why? The inference is that the speaker expects white people to be well spoken, but is surprised to find a well spoken black person. So he remarks upon it. The insult is in the implied low expectations.

I'm confused? Have you ever heard anyone say Ryan Mallet was well spoken? He's white, he's not!
