I'd like to add that they may play in a weak conference and don't see SEC caliber hitters every weekend, but if you look at their schedule, you'll find that they load up their OOC schedule with quality opponents. These guys are good.

I just checked their entire roster. Austin Kitchen appears to be their only LHP

Fitt's Twitter feed was comical this weekend. He debated every close call that went in LSUs favor then went MIA when LSU did well.

Looking at the Beckwith kid, the CCU website says he has appeared in 22 games and started 6. Kind of odd to me for such strong numbers.

Yeah, he seems to throw long relief..and mid week starts for most of year.
Of course, one of those starts looks like it was was a W against USC, so there goes my theory!

Sheer necessity. Starters were inconsistent early in the year, but he's been the definition of consistency. So, he has been saved a lot of starts to come in as a long reliever.
He started in the Regionals last year for us, as well.
