Maybe we are misinterpreting Odells interview

I think it's possible that Odell ment that the reason he has had a slight drop off in performance is due to the fact that he isn't having fun anymore, and taking the trash talk too seriously.

I know that you people (probably oilfield) love beating your chests over the fact that work isn't fun, but you have to understand that when you are playing A GAME, you play your best when you are playing loose and having fun.

Maybe his interview ment that he is taking responsibility for his behavior, and is going to stop taking everything so personally.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the way he is acting lately, but I would't be suprised if he turns things around. Or maybe I am giving him too much credit, but either way I am not going to shite on the kid for having tatoos or having blond hair.
