Maybe more than anything, it's time for Alleva to go?

He's just seems to have hired the wrong Head coaches who will keep LSU at the elite status...football/basketball have been down, baseball can't get past the hurdles, I don't know, I guess I'm just like everyone else and ready for LSU to get back to winning big games and staying at the top

Why don't we wait until a hire is announced before we say his hiring of a head football coach is a failure. He's never hired one before.

I think Alleva did a great job telling Florida, look, this game is happening. Not caving in to Foley's demands and the spineless chairman of the SEC.
I will say though, he has to get this hire right. He can't get it close to right, he has to get it right.
We'll find out soon. I think somewhere from Fri-Sun, we'll hear something. Maybe nothing definite but we should know more than we know now.

It doesn't matter if he brings in Jimbo or some obscure coach, as long as that coach wins. I want Fisher but I'll take anyone if they can perform up to the (reasonable) expectations of the fan base.
What if he gets Fisher or Herman and neither lives up to expectations? You can't blame JA for the choice. Everybody keeps acting like JA was responsible for the fiasco last year and that was on King. I can't fault the man when he is overruled by he U pres. and governor elect.
This hire shouldn't seal Allevas fate one way or the other.

You say this like every program is making homerun hires. I understand perception is reality in the win loss columns of LSU sports but it's like hiring an employee. Sometimes you hire a diamond in the ruff and other times to hire a shitty coworker for others to be around.
Some coaches win at certain programs and then get a better gig and flop. It's a gamble we must be willing to make in order for the program to move forward.
We shouldn't clean house but we need to get the dirt from under the rug. It's been building up way too long.

His fate should have been sealed already. His basketball hire has turned into a disaster, his clusterfrick last November in the handling of the Jimbo thing, and his four games later firing of Les, which has done nothing to help this season, should be enough for any with an IQ over 75 to want Joe gone.
And if the rumor is true that he wanted O as head coach from the start, lord help us!
