Maybe Les is finally ready to change

Les came as close as you can get to being fired. He knew it. He treated the last game as if it was exactly that, his last game as LSU's coach.
Maybe he has finally seen the writing on the wall. Change the offense or you are gone. Two tight ends and a pitch to the running back all game long is not going to cut it. Open the offense up. Find a offensive coordinator and LET him run 100% of the offense. Heck, this makes Les's job easy. Les will get credit for LSU's new high powered offense. When the quarterback is struggling pull him for crying out loud. It is not a bad idea to give the offense a spark when he is struggling......see Saturday night and plenty of other instances here.
Yes, we have heard this before many times. Les's makes promises and hires new offensive coordinators. No matter who is the offensive coordinator there is zero change in the offense because Les is still calling the shots. But Les has never been on the brink of being fired before. The reality of Saturday night hit Les hard, too hard. I felt terrible for him. He knows he has to change now. Les realizes now he has nothing to lose.

I hope you right... but Saturday night, I saw a man grow stronger than a program.

We can only hope
It's really all we can do at this point besides wallowing in misery

Or it strengthened his belief that he can do whatever he wants and not be fired.

LOL so you didn't watch the presser after the game?

He said the offense wasn't changing last night, LOL!
Get ready for more 3 and outs

Yeah sure maybe. And maybe he'll magically be able to develop a QB and a modern passing attack.
But why would he bother. Competing in the West is no longer an expected part of his job. That's what we've learned. 8-3 is acceptable and he can manage that without making any changes.

Miles could salvage his job and his reputation if he were to do that. I don't think he will though. Live and die by the strategy that won him 111 games in 11 years.

If he hasn't in 10 years he sure isn't going to change now, especially considering he knows he can walk all over alleva.
