He had advanced the program every year until this year. If you think he was actually getting fired you're not being rational.

If they aren't going to bring in a new coach then the AD needs to do something to get people excited about LSU basketball again for next season. The fans' depression over the epic fail that was/is this season will carry over to next season.

This year was supposed to be what we've been building toward since JJ arrived on campus and its looking like a complete and total fail. If Johnny can't even make the tournament with this squad, how much faith do you have in the guy to build anything here?
It goes deeper than just wins and losses. His team have continually displayed the basketball IQ of functional retards. The guy just appears to be a very poor teacher of the game.
Do I think he's getting fired? No. Should he? Yes.

I agree chief . What top notch recruits are headed our way next season ? Hornsby and Simmons are gone. How is this progr going to be better next Fall ? We are treading water with Jones. Next season is going to be worse than this season but no one at LSU cares. Therefore, I will not support this program either. Johnny is not a coaching guru.
I love coach Dale Brown ! I looked up to him like a dad when I was a teenager. I would run my 48 year old obese body into a wall for coach brown . I love that man ! But his choice for jones' hiring was a huge mistake. And it's wrong for LSU. One day someone at Louisiana State University will give a shite about basketball and hire someone who is passionate and educated about team basketball. Until then we settle for Brady , Trent , and Johnny. Good luck with that !

That's not a positive development. It just shows that LSU basketball has an apathetic fan base. His coaching performance wouldn't fly at a school that cares about basketball.

I hate to say this, but our athletic department has become an absolute joke.
The whole Miles debacle (how that was handled) along with keeping a coach that massively underachieved is discouraging to say the least.

He won't get fired because lsu is not serious about hoops. He will be our Andy Kennedy. We will get 18-21 wins next season because its what johnny does. He took us out of the shithole we were in but he won't take us to the next level.
