Infinitely more than you buddy and the “point series” really the high post series isn’t started with a cut, it’s started with a pass.

Incorrect. A brush cut from a guard cutting through to the opposite corner triggers the low man up to the high post where the ball is entered. The guard that entered the ball into the HP then has 2 options. These two options are referred to as what?

If the high post entry isn't open the guard then reverse dribbles at the wing who auto backdoors. This option is known as?

I can do this all day.

Again what you know about basketball an 8 year old could look up online

I know these things because I played and coached the game for over 10 years until I decided to go on another career path and be home more. No youtube needed.

Wrong, it starts the same way Seaton Hall starts their flex offense, the same way Kansas started theirs in the 90s.

Again you just say things with no proof. The point series is triggered by a brush cut. It's a 4 out 1 alignment with the top guy on same side as the big cuts through and brushes the 5 man's defender opening him up at the HP. I can literally talk you through the entire offense from Chin to Point Over to Point Away to Spin to Wing entry to Twirl. I've very familiar with most offenses used in college as I've either ran or scouted them at one point or another.

The turnovers MUST be a point of emphasis next year. LSU's FG% is not bad (top 100). In fact, it's 4th best in the SEC behind Kentucky, Alabama and Auburn. The 3 point FG% has been pretty good as well (top 100) 4th best in SEC as well. But LSU is wasting a lot of that good shooting by turning the ball over. They are 205 in FGs attempted per game.

Turnovers occur for several reason:
!) Opponent makes a good play
2) Lazy / careless passes
3)Poor decision making gets the offensive player in a poor position

It seems most of the turnovers result from # 3 - Several players have tendencies to drive into the lane regardless of how many defenders are present and have to contort their bodies to get off a shot and sometimes get the ball stripped or forced to make risky passes. There is also a tendency to stand in one spot and dribble for 5 to 10 seconds and accomplish nothing or end up with a desperation shot with seconds on the shot clock. If they could eliminate even half of those type turnovers that would be 5 to 7 more shots per game. Often times they are just being aggressive in trying to make a play but seem to lack situational awareness.

It’s not always which coach did the worst job, Michigan wants Nate Oates and Wade could be headed to Bama.

The point series shown in the link you posted is how to run a chin cut into point series which is an option of the Princeton offense. Regular point is triggered by a brush cut without the chin screen. Chin can also be used to get the 5 out Princeton actions as well as the UCLA cut series within the offense.

Point Series Explanation and Diagram

There are 1000000 options in the Princeton offense which make it so deadly.

That’s what I said and if you’re actually a coach you know you can start just about any offense however you choose to.

To get into the point series naturally though requires the brush cut to trigger the offense. A slot to slot pass is also a feature of chin and other actions in that offense. The chin screen is used throughout the offense as well. The brush cut is only used in triggering Point. I know this because I coached it for years. The brush cut is the only non called way you can get into point.

Well we never ran Princeton and I’ve never had the urge to run it for any of my teams. The only reason I know some of the basics is because the coach after mine at our school ran it and I watched a lot of their practices so you know a lot more about it than I do.

Well stated Alt26.

Now in hindsight, McMahon may be the better”in game” coach than Wade.

Not really fair to compare because the are 2 completely different coaches but is what it is.

Baker gets the uncontested rebounds...but is easily beaten out for 50/50 balls. Reed is inconsistent. However, the guards have rebounded better than average. Hannibal, Williams, Wright, and even Cook have been decent rebounders.

Could some of this be by design? Are our bigs focused more on boxing out, which frees up our guards for rebounds?
