By far the most improved player from start to finish. His glove will be missed at LSU.
I don't know what you mean by this. Laird stepped on the field Freshman year in 2013 and swung the bat well.. Batting well over .300 then he dipped down to finish at .307. And he always played well in the field.

Well you heard wrong he came to LSU for gf. He tried to walk on to Football team, but he caught manerie's eye, got on the team, won a starting spot, stayed for three years, and became one of the best right fielders we have ever had. The guy is a LSU great and should not be seen anything less. It hurts to see these great group of tigers leave

Laird wasa fun tiger to watch. He always gave his all. Just wish he had a stronger arm. He will be missed

That's one of the most impressive stats I've seen
It's remarkable that he also handled the ball hundreds of times on base hits without booting it or making an errant throw. Those plays count as a fielding chance only if there is an error.
I estimate that he may have been involved in 600-700 plays.
Naturally, his feat at least ties him for an NCAA record.
I hope LSU will find out where he stands in the record books for a player with the most career chances without an error.

Heard he essentially walked on after he decided to come to LSU based on his girlfriend coming to LSU. Maybe BS as I heard it 2nd or 3rd hand. But regardless, what a fantastic player for LSU
Miles wanted him to play WR in addition to baseball. CPM said no though, probably worried about his build and getting injured. He was in no risk of not finding the field somehow.
