Watching Mark Appel pitch right now makes me think what it would have been like if Gausman would have came back this year. Appel was drafted in the top 10 picks last year and came back to Stanford.

Friday: Gausman
Saturday: Nola
Sunday: Eades

Just unfair!

ETA: changed title.

I always think what if zack lee ended up coming to LSU and not the dodgers

Nola
Lee
Eades

Whoever threw Sunday would be nasty.

I don't even think about gausman. We gave us a good run. He needed to go. Wasn't gonna get drafted any higher

I fully agree that he had to go. I still don't know how or why Appel came back. You bringing up Lee makes me remember Von Rosenberg. Damn those guys would have been nice.

Seriously like LSU could easily be so stacked as a pitching stuff it would be unfair. Could play with 8 in the field and be fine

If that would of happened Nola might not of been a weekend starter until this year or maybe Eades would of been a midweek guy last year...who the frick knows? Still fun and sad to think about at the same time.

Thinking about it a little more, would Jake Cave have pitched or played in the field? Having a solid lefty like him would have been nice.

Pretty damn good. He was actually in spring practice before he got drafted. I'm sure someone would know but has anyone started at QB and was a starting pitcher while in college?

Clemson's quarterback, Kyle Parker was both the starting quarterback and their right fielder. But I'm not sure about quarterback/pitcher.

Brody Colvin. ZVR went in the 6th and Colvin went in the 7th and both signed deals.

No way Gausman was going to come back. I like to be more reasonable and wonder what if Joe Broussard didn't need Tommy John. He could have been the Sunday starter or solid out of the bullpen.
