Like he said We need to quit living in Lala land and come to terms with where we're at. We have mediocre talent and depth at DL & OL. Until we get back to the days of 07-12 Dlines where we had a solid 7-8 man rotation up there, we won't dominate like we wanna do. Until we get the whitworths and trea turners upfront we won't dominate there. Y'all can bash all you want on me, just stating my opinion like everyone else does on here. I know I've only posted on here a few times.

Who's fault is that. I've said for years the Les Miles was running the program into the ground. People love to quote the total record instead of looking at his Sec Record

I don't know you from Jack, RoyalJack, but your point is valid.

Contracts, flags, discipline/undisciplined, etc - it all comes back to the trenches.
For example, how does Lawrence get better unless he's playing against the best O lineman each day in practice? How does Clapp?

We have ONE bonafide offensive and ONE bonafide defensive lineman All-something. Period. Let that sink in. One on each side of the ball.

Build your record off that, because your offense or defense won't run without them.

Maybe we were just so excited for something new we failed to see it…

Marcus is exactly right. LSU waited too damn long to fire Less Miles. Now O will be forced to go the junior college route to find lineman.

That didn't work out with Valentine. That didn't help things there.

A strange thing considering Miles was OL and played smash mouth pro style offense. Would think he'd get plenty too OL recruits.

We were in decline no doubt. But his last 4 recruiting classes were tied for 2nd in the country with Ohio state and FSU. That's not 'running into the ground'. We would've been a consistent 9-10 win team as always.

Now well be VERY lucky to see that the next 3 years

We aren't that far away from having a dominant OLine. We have several solid young guys. Losing Tuehema hurt us a lot on the Oline.

Not sure about the DLine though. Rashard is great, but he might be gone after next year. Ed O is too soft. shelvin is very promising, but who knows if he will ever qualify.

You do realize guys like Gilmore and herron were five star players that a shite ton of teams wanted? Some guys just don't pan out.

Grimes was pulling some impressive classes in in the oline as well. Guys have transferred out for some reason.

But the current head coach was also the dline coach and recruiting coordinator for most of the guys playing. So, he should shoulder a lot of the blame on why the dline is thin. He's already had two years to fix it.

It is slowly coming along... give it time...
like someone else stated. We are going through the pain Texas fans have been going through for years.

Mr. Spears speaks the truth and it will take a recuriting class or two to fix it if Coach O can.

Correct, all you down voters need to look at the dept chart. DiNardo all over again. He had no wide receivers his last year when one got arrested and a few got kicked off the team. LSU needs balance in recruiting and Miles failed.
