If LF7 was done a disservice whike playing for LSU it was the uneccessary punishment his body accrued running into 8 & 9 man stacked defenses!

That was last year. Why bring it up at this point? Marcus trying to stir shite up.

He was asked if he could compare Guice to Fournette. Kind of hard to do that without bringing up Fournette, particularly within the context of the offense he played in.

He already is. good god. the notion that a rb was done a disservice by going to lsu is flat fricking ignorant. how many rbs has lsu put in the nfl the last 10 years? the facts are that if you were a starting rb at lsu in the last 10 years you were running behind an oline built to run the ball, a monster of a fb, and you were him a be drafted in the nfl. please name all tgese other programs where that happens.

It's the absolute truth, painful to some to hear but it's truth. Leonard knows it so does the entire LSU team. I think that is part of the reason why the LSU team had lost faith in Les Miles. Just a slight change in creative play calling and LSU broke all kinds of records. This isn't a coincidence. Now LSU has an offense that is 10 times more creative this team will respond in a big way.

Offense becomes more creative, special teams becomes more creative, LSU puts more points on the board, the LSU defense can take more risks, and make more plays. Watch out fellas we might have a recipe for success. If LSU has a big season this recruiting class will end well and next years will be legendary. As many as 8 5* prospects are seriously considering LSU and we have a great shot at signing them all if we can make this season look fun then if we end in the playoffs or big bowl that's icing on the cake. Leonard Fournette is an sec all time great. he owns every lsu single season rushing record. has the 2nd best rushing season in SEC history.

get a grip on reality

facts are facts. if you were a starting rb at lsu in the last decade you were gonna be drafted and run behind an oline built to run the ball. these are facts. now if you want to say a disservice was done to qbs , wrs, and tes then so be it.

Just my opinion but I believe Fournettes talent made it harder for Les to change his philosophy on offense. They didn't do anything special against Auburn in 2015 or Ole Miss in 2016.

I think it's easier or maybe more emphasis is placed on being creative on offense when you have lesser talent.
I agree for the most part smash; I don't think any player was going to cause a philosophical/style change in Miles.

However, Les did seem to get enamored with star power. As in the better the player the more reliance on him to produce and less "help" he got by design.

It always seemed to me that Les would put more into creating opportunities when the star power wasn't there. Best example would be with Ware, Ford, & Blue vs. Fournette.

I wouldn't call it laziness by any means. It just seemed he believed in superman powers at times, but with no superman he had to make up for it with creation.

Ok he wasn't as good as Walker Or Jackson... and IMO he wasn't as good as Faulk as far as an LSU back........

What I think Marcus is referring to is that if LF had been 100% for the second half of the season last year or if he would have gotten to play in LSUs new offense where defense's couldn't bare down on him he would have had a lengendary career at LSU and won the hardware people were expecting. It's the absolute truth that LF didn't reach the status that he could have in a more creative offense made to take a defense's eyes off of him or pay for it. Les Miles and LSU didn't do that period end of story and everyone knows it except a few.

Fournette got what he needed from LSU... a big enough stage focusing on the run to showcase his talents and launch what will probably be a very successful and lucrative NFL career. If a disservice was done, it was done to LSU... by a coach who squandered his talents and caused the program to underachieve as a whole.

there is a massive gap between this and lsu doing him a disservice which is my point.

Well it is a disservice if he was easily the best athlete in CFB for 3 years yet didn't win anything for being that type of athlete and he absolutely was. I think he is going to show people what he's really got at Jacksonville and people will say how the frick didn't LSU win multiple championships with this guy AND how the frick didn't he win every CFB award to be had. I believe this is what was meant by disservice.
