The real story seems to be that this puts Beau Jordan out completely.

No moves are final unless they involve a player from Dunham.

Is Blair Frederick going to pitch?
Or did PM ban him after he hit Deichmann?
Or is he just not good enough?
With 35 man roster you don't redshirt guys anymore.
If he doesn't see field, he must be getting cut at end of season.

Coomes came to practice facility with a sore hip Monday after starting Saturday...sounds like CPM is giving him a shot but he is nursing soreness.

"Junior catcher Nick Coomes came into the LSU baseball facility with “severe” hip pain Monday after he earned a start behind the plate last Saturday against Baylor. Mainieri said he will get some rest and LSU will continue to monitor him."

Watson made that great running catch in the Maryland game to preserve the no hitter for Jared one more out...I am happy CPM is giving him a shot if he doesn't think AD can handle the center field.

A bunch of slap hitters will fall short of Omaha this year!

Zach Watson hit 10 homers his freshman year of high school and like 40 total the other 3 years with most teams pitching around him. He has very sneaky power and speed to stretch singles into doubles and doubles into triples. He may not beat Breaux out this year but he's gonna be a great player.

Coomes definitely needs a shot. I've had enough of pap.

I had enough of him last year when Romero replaced him and started ripping RBIs all over the place. Not against using him as a defensive replacement

I'm curious on Fredericks along w Mason Templet. Frederick hasn't even seen the pen and Templet has 5 Ab's the entire season and I know he is 0 for 5 w 4Ks but just not getting much if any opportunity.

Coomes needs a chance. I'm about done with papierski. Batting right at 200 and his defense has somehow regressed lately.
