Talks about the QB’s @ 5:20, seems to favor Nussmeier

Apparently, most of the receivers favor Nussmeier. According to one of them, the coaches are telling Nuss stuff that makes him believe he won’t be the starter. I could see BK starting one of the vets the first few games to let the team settle in before they put Nuss in. Our defense alone should get us through the first few games.

I listened, and figured people would hear what they wanted, but it definitely seems that Nuss is the favorite. He seemed to have a harder time when asked about Myles.

It is going to be interesting.

I wonder what the deal is with Myles not having the same chemistry with the rest of the team, here's hoping it's something that can be changed.

Also to add, Nuss are these WR’s age… birds of a feather typically flock together

It makes sense. They came in the same class. Both probably ran with the 2's last year. MB was hurt.

Unless it’s typical coach head games.

Yea, he was helping recruit all these sophomore guys since he was committed. He’s had a strong relationship with them for a while now so they will definitely favor him over a guy in the ‘17 class and a west coast guy who just transferred in.

Maybe it’s the fact that he’s a good 5 years older than most everyone else on the team.

That's what Nick Dias said he heard from a player's father, but it is more than a little obvious Nick Dias made up that entire story. In other words Dias lied.

I mean, why would LSU risk losing Nuss to the transfer portal to start one of the far lesser talented so-called veterans and although their own experience convicts both of them of being very lame and very mediocre QBs.

Meanwhile, obviously Nuss' NFL QB dad is hearing from a bunch of coaches lobbying for Nuss to transfer to their schools should Nuss be screwed out of the starting job.

Meanwhile, Kayshon Boutte who is a junior also advocated that Nuss be named the starter on the Tiger Rag Podcast and who knows better than Kayshon Boutte who the starter should be?

I get it, maybe I just underestimated the difficulty in connecting for that kind of age gap. Personally I wouldn't think it'd be significant, but then again I'm not in the lockeroom.

If we lose Nuss, we’re fricked in the short term at QB unless Walker is fully ready next year.

Starting Nuss this year just to keep him on the roster is as good of a reason as any if all the QBs are close in competency

Actually, Malik ran with the ones. Nonetheless, how do you explain a junior, Kayshon Boutte, also lobbying for Nuss to be the starter?

It's common sense.

Yep. It'll shake out in fall camp. It's not about which QB they're more comfortable with or like more. It's about which QB can take care of the ball.

The fricking coaches, for starters.

Love the end where he describes the 'want to promote and be a part of LSU winning championships'...

Also, it certainly appears that he is closer to Nuss but didn't hear any animosity or favoritism toward one quarterback. He complimented them all.

Fun to listen to these guys get more comfortable as the interview went on. Moscona did a nice job and I may have to open a Louisiana National Bank account...

It also seems like a personality thing. Myles seems to be more of a "older soul", i.e. fishing and hanging with the girlfriend. While Nuss is younger and seems to be in the trenches with the guys, as in studying, partying, etc...
