lsu records?

skip only coached 3 seasons when the super regional format was in place, so you're basically talking about 2 coaches.

i don't like mainieri, but this is stupid.

Agree. This is stupid. He's gotta put the team in Omaha next year or we gotta go find us a young up and coming coach.

Pretty much sums up my belief about LSU baseball and this place.

I'm not Mainieri fan, but this place is full of imbeciles.

Christ man. People always want something to bitch about. I get it the loss sucks but to say PM did a bad job is ridiculous. Nobody expected this team to be here 2 months ago, wanna be there still?

Baseball is not the same anymore...take a look at the schools who've made it this year. There's parity

i do think there should be pressure on mainieri to get to omaha next year.

without the comeback against rice, we were staring down 4 times in 7 years not advancing to the supers. that really shouldn't be acceptable.

yes, we beat rice and did advance. but i don't think we had ourselves a great team this year. and that's fine. we lost a lot from last year. but the results haven't been great the past 7 years in the postseason, all things considered.

Mainieri has brought us to the top of mediocrity. Give the man a break. What do you guys expect? Championships?

Didn't we get a new stuffed animal to bring to the games? Geese.

Seems most of the posters here excited to make it to the supers weren't alive in the 90's and know or experienced elite coaching

I can live with that.

I'll say this , parity in college baseball is on another level lately- you have schools like UCSB taking it to the most talented team in the country in Louisville, and a team like UVA winning last year and Fresno State a few years ago.

Then you have schools like UF and FSU who have never won the championship in the first place despite otherworldly talent. This is a finicky game.
