I heard a little bit of coach's interview at lunch today. Sounds excited about Slaughter & Smith in the lineup. Really excited about all of the seniors back this year, maybe had to be convinced to return for a special season this year. I didn't hear all of the lineup though, correct me if I'm wrong.

1- Freeman 2nd
2- Duplantis CF
3- Robertson SS
4- Deichmann RF
5- (One of them) Breaux/Beau Jordan? LF
6- Slaughter 1b
7- Smith 3rd
8- Papierski C
9- Romero/Jordan/Adams? DH

Pitching ought to be sound, but I wish we had a few more lefties in the bullpen, 2 relief LH pitchers ain't gonna cut it with a left heavy lineup.

This is a strange football depth chart.

I've never heard him that excited about any freshman like he was with Slaughter and Smith today.

Papierski

If he starts swinging a consistent bat watch out.

I imagine Romero will be at DH to start the year.

I'm sure he's the backup catcher too, so he'll get a bunch of AB's.

Would not worry too much about LHP relief pitching.
When you get to regionals and Omaha maybe you would go with Poche as a bullpen option especially in Omaha like the way they used Coleman that year.
