Mainieri doesn't play for the tie on the road

I don't understand that thinking in a Friday night SEC game. Three freshmen in a row... BUNT THE BALL, get the SAC fly. But he doesn't play to tie on the road?

Freshman on the mound, maybe the guy grooves one. Or throws one to the backstop.

Would they have struck in a completely different situation? It's different when you have to get a base hit rather than needing a fly ball.

Maybe maybe not

To assume some kid is just going to stroke a sac fly like it's nothing because a guy is on 3rd is silly. Hardly any good swings all night.

You play for the run against Florida right now. It would have taken a small miracle for UF to score another run.
