And I'm sure Oregon State and LSU also had coaches who were shuttled around Houston by Lyles. And Lyles must have arranged for a LSU or Oregon State recruit to transfer to another school to avoid a Texas graduation requirement. And Lyles must have arranged for a LSU or Oregon State recruit to get his grandmother to sign the letter of intent. And in exchange for all that LSU or Oregon State shelled out $25k in gratitude. I'm sure Lyles has a mountain of thank you notes from Les Miles and Mike Riley thanking Lyles for "orchestrating everything".

Yup, you're right.

Oregon = Oregon State = LSU

Except only one of those teams is gonna burn in a duck pond of fire.

Classic. A baver fan is piling on. We'll burn in a duck pond and with a reduction of schollie we might have a 5-7 season in the future. Oh, wait, the bavers go 5-7 the "right way."

In other words, the street agent thing is not an Oregon creation.

It's not, and I imagine a lot of schools are scrambling to see if their asses are covered. I think the problem with Oregon (at the moment) seems to be the actions of your current coach. If Oregon is definitely guilty, it would be in their best interest to cut ties with Kelly ASAP.

Let's see here. Do we know what Kelly's actions were? Did he lie to the NCAA? Are they stonewalling the NCAA?

Kelly paid for the service with public funds. Cowerd today says that Chip's problems are far less severe than Tressels because nothing was hidden. We don't have anywhere near all the facts because the AD isn't ALLOWED to comment during the investigation.

This.

We saw how fast the wheels came off with Tressel.

I fully expect that Chip Kelly will be tendering his resignation sometime in the next 365 days.

One thing is for sure: Phil Knight wants to win at nearly any cost but he'll gladly throw Kelly under the boss to placate the NCAA if that's what it takes. It's no secret that the admin at U of O won't take any actions against Kelly without first talking to Knight. He is the closest thing to Jerry Jones in college football.

there have been reports that Haley showed up at the HS of Trevon Randle w/ Lyles. LSU fans really need to stop throwing mud around until this plays out

We'll see what the NCAA digs up.

NCAA investigators talked to Trevon, his dad, and his HS football coach back in March:

Was it a blog with unnamed sources or an actual report where a high-school coach goes on record as saying Lyles brought Haley to his school? I remember some message board rumors but no confirmed facts.

One of the things that get me about Lyles is he implying that players like Lache need help finding a school that fits their talent. Every school in the nation knew who Lache was for a couple of years. Like, LSU doesn't run the football? Give me a break. If Oregon could get him for a pair of stinking tennis shoes, that means LSU is the most honest program in the country. Outbid by a pair of tennis shoes. I aint buying it. Lyles is coming clean and holding back at the same time.

Roger, I am not buying that Chip needs to be let go...at least not yet. My reading comp btw was in the high 90 percentile. Maybe I am not so good with rantard speak.

Neither am I, which is why I said "if" Oregon is found guilty. Right now, the only thing we know is he may be guilty of overpaying for a mediocre "scouting" service with Oregon funds.

I have a lot of interest in this game for several reasons, and one is this town (Juneau) has more Oregon alums than any other school, including the U of Alaska system. Eugene is where our old people go to retire as well.

So what is Canzano alleging re: LSU and $80,000?

For those not listening to the radio show, Canzano teased as he went to break by saying he'd ask Lyles about LSU and a solicitation for $80,000.

At least I think that's what he said...

So... you can understand and recall 90% of the crap but can't quite grasp the 10% of actual fact?
