I understand your point and I agree with you to an extent. I was only talking like an edge blocker on extra point maybe haha. I mean im sure we were all a little happy to see Kragthorpe get to play every Saturday this year. Its kinda like that. Id be happy to see him get a couple seconds.

What is so funny? I tend to agree with that statement…except it isn't "garbage". I would not have used that word…but I have a problem with someone on the outside trying to dictate who a football coach plays.

Why not any other senior walk-on that has practiced their heart out while at LSU? That's the point. If he wasn't a military guy, none of you would give two shits if he played a down.

That is why this is even being brought up, because some dumbass politico/military "leader" is petitioning for Les to play this man in the A&M game.

I can see both sides of the play/don't play argument, but it would be a really cool thing for this man to get on the field.

That's all I'm trying to say. Not trying to start an argument. And I wish every walk on could get a snap but Kevin spears and quan leslie can't even get snaps so you know the walk ons won't including luke.

There is no seeing either side. One side is trying to reward this young man for non-football earned stuff. He's good enough to walk on, but not to play. If there are kids that are good enough to play, they shouldn't be benched or miss an opportunity to play to a less football deserving person because of what he does outside of football, which is highly overrated to begin with.

You dam right he should play at least one snap. The very reason we are able to play this game and enjoy watching it is because of men and women such as Luke Boyd, past, present and future, are fighting for our freedoms. He made the cut as a walk on so he should have some talent or LM wouldn't have wasted a spot or shouldn't have wasted a spot. I don't think there are automatic placements for vets on football teams so making it along with that history should allow him to see the field at least once, IMHO.

He won't play at A&M because we won't give up the spot for him to travel.

He may, however, get on the field in the bowl game, where everyone can travel.

I have seen teams play physically challenged individuals for one play to recognize their efforts...
I would have no problem with a cameo like appearance in the game... nice gesture towards the military

Although I was told by a Marine officer at the LSU Salutes reception that Luke had been in on a couple of plays earlier in the season, the participation roster doesn't reflect that.

So, I'm not sure...and this request isn't from the military, it's from the Louisiana Secretary of Veterans Affairs (or whatever his title is)

If he merits it, play him. If not, bench him. This is LSU football, not little league where everyone gets a trophy.
