Yeah not good. I can't say I expected much though.

What about the pitching stats?

there are lies, damn lies, and there are statistics.you cant be 2/4 and lead the league.the league is good this year, and we are not far behind, just need more run production.CPM chooses defensive players over power sluggers.and our pitching depth is never good as planned

Why is everyone so shocked that 8 of the 9 guys in the lineup are seeing consistent sec pitching for the first times in their lives? Give them some time to adjust. Their talent will eventually allow them to make the adjustments. It won't be a huge increase in offense but it could be enough along with the pitching from this weekend to win a few games.

First I was shocked Deichmann drew a walk.

Not shocked at Krob bc he's done it before. He's been good BUT he has to understand the situation.

I was disspointed at the Fraley ab too.

They should both be given the take. What's the point of the coach if not to make that decision for the player in that situation?

The league average for runs is 5.5 per game. LSU is averaging 2.5 runs per game. Yet LSU only averages 1 hit per game. In this case, the statistics back up what we see on the field: no timely hitting and no power.

Good question. If PM micro manages everything else, why not this? Or does he and he didn't give them the take?

TBH I'd rather the players know this stuff rather than the coach having to give them the take sign. The take sign is for young players or players who don't understand the game.

Wouldn't even consider that micromanaging. It's usually an approach discussion prior to the inning where you let the players know to take until you get a strike.
