LSU's offense still looks like poopy, and now you can add incredibly

boring to it...We really needed to practice passing & catching against KY, but instead Les practices running up the middle. We actually may need a passing game against Bama, and maybe even Fla, Aub & Ark too.

We practiced dropping passes very well.

They attempted to throw it around.
It didn't work well. So we ran.
UK had no chance to score more than they did.

While I realize we need to catch those dropped passes and work on a few things, how can you say this from 1 game? The opponent was so horrendously inferior that we ran like 5 different plays?

Well it did look like we started practicing rolling JL out of the pocket. That was a first I saw of that. Of course I cant stand to see a right handed QB roll to the left. Especially when your QB already has a tendency to throw off the back foot.

I though Les was trying to run the clock out from the middle of the second quarter.

it was kentucky.. they treated that more vanilla than the northwestern st game imo.

Sometimes I think Les Miles would like to regress to a time before the forward pass and all runs must be made between the tackles.

LSU was coasting from the get-go in the game.. no reason not to.. It worked. I would not take a whole lot of stock into that gameplan.
The drops didn't help and the team came out flat and still dominated.. as boring as it may be the game was never in doubt..

It was so lop-sided that our D was vanilla as well, relax people... Wait until after Florida to complain if we perform poorly.

Wait, what? Lopsided wins are a bad thing? Why not put backup RBs in and run vanilla when the game is in hand?

Booooooooooooooooooo Skillet.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

I like how LSU's whole offense gets tagged as "poopy" even though we ran for 178 yards.

Our offense is vanilla as it comes but we will find out Saturday how good our offense really is or how much progress we have made.

Seriously. We were 8 definite drops away from Lee being at least 16 for 21 for well over 200 yards and possibly even more because the drives would have continued instead of having to punt.
I hate talking football with people who know nothing about it.

Really?
Gotta love it!!

I understand the need to not "show" our offensive game in these lopsided matchups, still I wonder does Alabama or Florida run as "vanilla" as we do when their score reflects a major blow out? Have we really implemented that many new plays that the likes of these coaches haven't seen?

Lee needs tons of work too. Some of those throws weren't exactly easy passes to catch.

If the Lsu receivers learn to catch the ball we can run the table. The ball is not always on the money, but u have to catch the ball with your hands. Most of the drops Sat. they tried to catch with their body. I had thought we could beat Bama but I am not so sure. Saban will put 9 in the box so I hope we can pass on them.

Well you can classify some of those as drops if you like, but quite a few of them were poorly thrown passes.
Technically, it did hit the receivers hands so "could" have been caught. But, they were thrown high and poorly placed.
Not all of them, but some of them.
Our receivers need to do a better job, but so does Lee on some of these. Against better teams, some would have been picks.
