Much has been said about the difficulty of the forthcoming Tiger football schedule, what with games vs Miami, Georgia, Miss St and Alabama, as well as road contests @ Auburn, @ Florida and @ A&M.

Look deeper into the schedule and it's a lot worse than it looks at first blush. The Tigers encounter La Tech, Miss St, and Arkansas coming off BYE WEEK ADVANTAGES, as well as Bama coming off a bye week (though not an advantage as LSU also has a bye week).

What with rampant offensive inexperience, a lack of depth in key positions, and a suspect head coach and OC, is there any realistic chance for a successful 2018? What does the board think?

I think no excuses will be tolerated. You just don't fire a coach with the record of Les Miles bc he was no longer competing for championships to be content with 8-4 or worse.

Administration felt Orgeron was the guy to elevate the program. He is expected to do that, not wallow in mediocrity or regress.

I think Joe Burrow will win the heisman trophy as well as coach of the year.

It's a very tough schedule but that shouldn't change expectations. If you're one of the best, you're one of the best.

Why are people acting like LSU has never played a tough schedule?

O has only had one full year, he brought in a very solid class, and is working on a nice class this year. If he would "let his coaches coach" like he promised.. we might have a very good year

This can work both ways... Bye weeks also kill momentum............

6-6 either way... LSU better NOT lose to La Tech even though they have a bye week prior...............

LATech could be this year's Troy. LSU better be ready to bring it.

We aren’t one of the best. That’s just a fact at this point.

Hahaha we aren’t losing to Louisiana Tech, Arkansas, Ole Miss or State. We should beat A&M but this year could be different. You idiots saying 6-6 are delusional. When was the last time LSU went 6-6?? Please enlighten me

with the talent on O and the defense LSU has 3 loses would be disappointing.

would you have laughed if it was said LSU would lose to troy before last year? State beat the living shite out of LSU last year by 30, Fitzpatrick is back again. Ole miss is Ole miss they could give them a game. LSU SHOULD win all these games but they aren't laughably winnable either.

They won’t lose to another team like Troy. State was good as hell last year and they had Dan Mullen. The only game outside of Bama UGA or Auburn I can see them losing is A&M

I actually do agree with you as that probably stung them to the core.

they should be decent this year but not as good as last year I think we get payback as well.

Part of me thinks Jimbo will be a flop and it will all blow up in A&Ms face

Who is LSU playing the weeks before these teams with byes?
I know Arkansas feasted for years playing LSU the week after Alabama, but O kinda reversed that the past two seasons.
